Staff at Alta Vista Healthcare & Wellness Center is very accommodating. They have allowed me to sit with Dad and sort through 2 decades of mail on 2 occasions. There is more to do on a future date, but I don't foresee any issues. Dad's Alta Vista Case Manager called to inform me of his status, right as I was about to dial her! I believe Dad got lucky that he was placed at Alta Vista. They are doing a fine job. Glenn Limina

Most of the caregivers, nurses, PT/OT and other support personnel have been very attentive and helpful. My Mom has been here 9 days so far for rehab and IV meds. Beatriz has been really great! Food could use some help. OP

Unfortunately due to life's progression my uncle ended up needing extra assistance. I agree with other reviews regarding the staff being friendly (this is their job and they get paid to do so) however when it comes to attentiveness I feel this is where the problems/concerns start happening. While there on a visit (my uncle had been here 2 weeks by the time I could visit) I noticed all of his personal belongings were thrown in a drawer with another patients stuff. I asked the nurse about this and it was casually said "these must be items from a patient who was recently discharged". I'm sorry, shouldn't this room of been cleaned and sterilized from top to bottom before bringing another patient in?? I asked where the "call button" was incase my uncle needed anything. It was on the floor! I wiped it down and wrapped it around the bed so it was in reach for my uncle. When I called to get him up and in a wheelchair so we could take him to the patio for some fresh air the guys who were assisting my uncle were #1 speaking to each other in a language we could not understand. #2 the gentleman assisting felt by helping my uncle to the wheelchair he would guide my uncle by holding/pulling on his pajama bottoms so much that they were being pulled up my poor uncle's butt. I could go on and on. The bottom line is make sure you are your own advocate! If you are not watching closely who will? Who will ensure your loved one is taken care of properly? Bring supplies to clean the room to your standards. You do not want your loved one catching anything. Bring bedding if you want your loved one comfortable. This is my personal experience and my personal opinion nothing more nothing less. May your family member live their final day's in comfort and cared for. 🙏

My mother has been to this facility twice within the last two years. And this place has been great! They worked with her. They are very attentive and responsive to my mom. When my mom was there, both times, I was never worried that she wouldn’t be taken care of. Highly recommended this place. To the Alta Vista Staff, thank you! From Isabel Pickron

The staff was attentive and took excellent care of my father. He was there for 3 weeks and each one of the staff treated him like family. He would’ve stayed longer but he had his sports to watch. Lol! It’s playoff season. Thank you Alta Vista.
