My 96 year old Aunt has been living in this facility for over 4 years now. The cleaning staff don't always do a good job cleaning her living area.. I purchased a broom, dustpan and mop and I utilize them often when I go there to visit my Aunt. This facility has a high employee turnover & for a long while, They had no staff to do the resident's laundry, So my Aunt's good friend does her laundry twice a week. The atmosphere feels dreary when I walk into the front door..

I have cancer and was prescribed some strong meds which included Xanax and Adderall. Well one day I went to get my am meds and the med tech told me that, you had your last one last night. So I began a 6 week nightmare in Hell while they did nothing. There is no MD here and the NP who comes here once in a while just to bill Medicare is useless. When I had a pcp appointment and needed to arrange transportation the case manager told me to do it myself. Perhaps the most egregious act of all is when they crashed my checking account. They stole 1600 dollars after I told them not to bc my SSI check wasn't deposited yet. That is criminal!!
My room has a leaking ceiling and a broken bed. The food is to die from.
I don't think I would send my worst enemy here. I've been to a few of these places and none of them deserve a 5star rating, those are plants, the staff here is condescending and dishonest giving a resident the wrong meds is tolerated.
God help me I need a lawyer.

My brother, an insulin dependent diabetic with dementia, was no longer able to live alone. He would forget to eat and take his insulin and was at a very high risk for a stroke. He is completely disoriented to day and time. He has been at Albany Center for 4 months and his life has completely turned around. The staff are very responsive to his needs and very patient with his dementia. They insure he is at the dining hall for all 3 meals and they ensure he takes his meds. They genuinely care for him, including the head of medical, the caseworker, the med techs, activities director, dining hall and house cleaning staff. I’m there on a regular basis and I have had no complaints. I’m beyond appreciative and I greatly respect them for doing a difficult job well.

I have been a resident here for a year and I am so happy I came here after being in the hospital. I have recovered nicely and the staff here is not only professional and helpful, it’s apparent they enjoy their work. Everyone has been helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to a loved one

I would stay far away from this place. In the beginning they make things great and over time with three administration changes in a 6 month period and no real concern for their residents they only care about taking your money and doing the minimum that is required.

- Biggest issue is that on multiple occasions the staff provided the wrong medicine to my parents. (not just my parents other residents as well)
- Not cleaning rooms regularly.
- Providing plasticware instead of silverware during meal times.
- Broken heater for the facility in the cold months and no concern or rush to get it resolved was broken for almost a week.
- No picking up laundry on scheduled date.
- Staffing on the weekend is slim to none, you have one nurse that has to manage two floors.
- Missing clothes upon return of clothes.
- Onsite Beautician - never saw that we had to bring parents out ourselves.
- Housekeeping Services Daily - this is purely a joke - we had to come and remove trash and ask for things just so your staff can tell us they are short staffed and the facility does not supply the basic materials. We had to bring in toilet paper and diapers when told they are supposed to provide them.
- Free Weekly Laundry Service - Multiple times laundry was never taken or never brought back or when brought back had missing clothes.
- Meals are not made there and brought in from another facility so residents have to wait and on the weekend there is no enough staff to serve so residents are waiting for their food.
- They say they provide dietary meals for special cases, that is not true.
- Mouse droppings throughout the facility and kitchen area.

Attached are pictures of the room after the facility said they cleaned the rooms.
