My husband and I had looked at a lot of places for my mother-in-law, and fate brough us to AFH at Silver Lake, LLC and we couldn’t be happier! When we arrived for the tour in December 2025, we were struck with the warmth and hominess of the ..... well.... the HOME! We were welcomed by the owner, Miki Um (RN), her husband, Michael, and onsite staff (Sue, Grace and Annie). They listened to us and patiently answered all our questions. Their professionalism and dedication to the residents was evident from the start. After the tour, I was so delighted with AFH that I teasingly asked when I could move in!! We arranged a move-in date for Mom, and the staff were wonderful in making sure Mom’s room was personalized to her specific needs, desires, and comfort. Mom moved in on January 5, 2026, and we cannot articulate (but will try) how happy we are with the loving care and personalized attention Mom has received. The transition was a bit bumpy for Mom as she had been living in our home for 3 years prior to the move. That said, Mom sings the praises of the staff and the care she receives!! The staff is excellent about communicating with us about Mom’s health and activities, and encourage visits and interactions. We have received texts and videos of sing-alongs, manicures, and outdoor snacks at the picnic table in the backyard on a sunny day while watching the chickens! Since Miki is an RN, she created a detailed care plan for Mom and oversees her medical care. She has suggested potential changes to Mom's medication that has yielded improvements in pain management, mood, and engagement with others. It is such a relief to have doctors, podiatrists, physical therapists, etc. come to AFH to care for Mom’s medical needs. My husband and I highly recommend Miki (and Michael) and the staff at AFH at Silver Lake, LLC to take care of a loved family member. They truly do treat Mom as a member of the family - with love, compassion and respect. We are comforted and blessed to have found AFH at Silver Lake and encourage anyone who is looking for quality, gold-star care to consider them! Margaret Voorhees

Miki Eom, RN, is a seasoned medical manager of her 2 Adult Family Homes. She always displays professional behavior and competency under every day and stressful conditions. Miki serves as a role model for her staff, and openly supports her team through her exceptional work ethic and values. And it is very evident how much her staff respects her. When my husband had a medical issue in her Silver Lake home, we worked together to get him the immediate care that he needed. Miki was my go-to person to help me to navigate the ongoing critical care that he deserved. I have always trusted her input and critical thinking. When I was on a much needed preplanned vacation in Europe, Miki updated me with daily progress notes. I highly recommend Miki (and Michael) to take care of a loved family member. AFH at Silverlake has been the best decision we’ve made for Mom. The owners Michael and Miki have made their business more like an extended family. The care Miki and her team provide are a breath of fresh air!! No more dealing with transporting Mom to medical appointments. AFH at Silverlake has visiting doctors, dentist, etc. encouraging family involvement in person or virtual. We no longer have concerns on Mom”s daily hygiene being attended to. She is clearly receiving appropriate care. AFH at Silverlake has interactive activities to include Friday sing along with a live musician, movie day, bingo, and on sunny summer days, pony visits and outdoor lunches. Mom now enjoys fresh fruit and home cooked meals to include eggs from chickens onsite. The home is well kept and clean. AFH at Silverlake has made this chapter in Mom”s life comfortable and safe.

AFH at Silver Lake LLC is the best Adult Family Home Facilities in Seattle area. It is a Service that serves with honesty, certainty and professionalism.
