Aegis was a game-changer for my family. My mother was living in an independent living facility in North Carolina--far from me. As her health deteriorated, including her behavior, and her needs increased, I was really struggling to get her needs met. Kimberly Morton and her team were wonderful. They were thoughtful about which caregivers were sent to help my mom, since consistency was very important for her. As new and unique issues came up, Kimberly was a critical thought partner for me in how we could best address it and would help implement those ideas. I have now moved my mother closer to me, and have not been able to find anyone to work with who is as diligent, thoughful and helpful.

Aegis helped us at a time when nobody else could. My mom was in an independent living facility and needed ostomy care. Skilled nurses are needed for that kind of support. My mom had other complications and I was juggling her care while working full time. Cathy graciously took my call and did the intake with Wendy who followed up with care including the transition mom made to a care home. Wendy made my mom feel comfortable, treated her with dignity, and gave her top tier care. Wendy always communicated with me about appointments. I really appreciated how she followed up with a note about the visit as well. Every time I called the office with a question, I got a clear, prompt response. I highly recommend Aegis Home Care in Chapel Hill.

You can trust Aegis Home Care in Southern Pines to give the highest quality of care and support to your family members. I know because they cared for my mom and dad in the last years of their lives. The Aegis team consistently went above and beyond expectations. Mom and Dad came to rely on and trust their caregivers like family. Just as important, they gave me peace of mind when I was not physically present. Because I don’t live in NC the team members would keep me informed with phone calls, emails and texts. They were always the first “family members” on the scene in emergency situations. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say my only regret is that we didn’t work with Aegis sooner.

The folks at Aegis Home Care Southern Pines took care of my Mom for 2 years. They provided 24/7 companion care that increased as her needs did. Amanda, the lead nurse on her team, was an incredible partner in this for me because I live in CT and was managing her care long distance. Amanda went to appointments with Mom to help her manage all the details of her care and worked in close partnership with me and all my siblings as if she was one of the family. When Mom's care increased in the final weeks of her life, we needed to move her to a facility that could meet her needs. Aegis Home Care runs an adult group home in Southern Pines that was truly like moving mom into a family. The caregivers were super nice and helpful and gave Mom a final Christmas party that none of us will forget anytime soon. They were welcoming to all of us family who were in town to be with her in those final days, and never complained as we were in and out of her room quite a bit. I can't say enough about the people at Aegis Home Care. There are too many to name, not wanting to forget anyone, but we called them Mom's angels and they were truly that. I can't recommend them enough for companion care, full assist, and if you need a home setting with increased medical care, Aegis Family Home Care is the place. The staff is compassionate, professional, and truly dedicated to meeting the needs of my loved one. The caregivers are skilled and attentive, ensuring that every need is met with respect and dignity.
