Odell provided care to our extremely ill and compromised sister in our time of need. He treated my sister like he would treat family. He gave her comfort and compassion with expert care. I can’t say enough, he is wonderful. Do not hesitate to use their services. Stephanie Eastman NMD

Bringing a loved one home with hospice care is very overwhelming. We decided to get additional 24 hour care. Acuity Homecare came VERY highly recommended. Odell was a pleasure to work with. Very kind and understanding of our needs. The process was easy and we were able to get home care that day. Our home aide, Sharon, was amazing. She had a calm and caring way that made the whole family comfortable. It was a difficult time. Sharon and Acuity Homecare made the time we had left feel so much more comforting.

The decision and necessity to seek home care for a family member may be one of life's most psychologically challenging events. Moreover, it involves vast expense. For people who are working or raising children or both, the anxiety of finding and maintaining care strains all aspects of one's life. In many cases, caregivers are choosing work of last resort; caregiver agencies are often poorly run in spite of marketing photos of the smiling friendly faces of the caregivers and the happy old people, who look ready to frolic into the sunset. Prior to finding Acuity Homecare, I spent many a frustrated (and tearful) hour on the phone (if someone would answer the phone) and in person with other agencies asking why a caregiver did not show up, why I wasn't informed of issues, why the caregiver could not provide the services promised, etc. I learned of Acuity Homecare from a hospice admission nurse at a hospice unrelated to Acuity. The agency is run by a husband and wife, both experienced nurses, who epitomize professional care. When my family member was taken on by Acuity, my family and I were in a state of distress. In the early weeks of admission to their services , the owners spend extra time monitoring the caregiver after having carefully considered the appropriate match for the individual. I had asked whether I would ever be expected to step in because of an emergency. Other agencies said "yes." Acuity Homecare said, "That has never happened." They provide 24-hour care for our family member with cancer and dementia, and the caregiver is given breaks from time to time with substitute individuals. Attention to hygiene and diet for the patient as well as house cleaning is exceptional. There is seamless communication among caregiver, agency owners, and family. Is the care expensive. Yes. Is it out of line with other agencies? No. Do they go beyond what is required? Yes. Has my life improved since contracting with Acuity Homecare? Yes. My gratitude is only outmatched by my wonder at their professional services and their kindness to their employees and to the families of their clients.

We had a wonderful experience with Acuity! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of an aide for their loved one. The owners are wonderful- patient & communicative with any questions we had. The staff sent to support my grandmother were skilled, kind & compassionate. After my grandmother passed, Aisha (the owner) reached out to me personally to offer her condolences & even sent flowers- very kind and an example of a business that goes above & beyond for their clients! Aisha & her husband are a class act!
