PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBER TO THIS FACILITY. THIS FACILTITY ALMOST KILLED MY MOTHER BECAUSE OF NEGLECT. THE STAFF IS INATTENTIVE AND CLAIMS THEY DO WORK WHEN THEY DO NOT. THEY FAILED TO TAKE ADEQUATE CARE OF MY MOTHER AND IT RESULTED IN HER BLOOD PREASURE BEING 60/30 AND FAILED TO GIVE HER, HER DOCTOR PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS.

I am deeply disappointed with the level of care my loved one received at this facility. During multiple visits, I found them sitting in soiled clothing and not properly cleaned. No patient should have to remain wet or unclean for extended periods of time. The nurse aides were often unprofessional and did not check on patients regularly. On several occasions, I had to repeatedly ask staff to come and assist with basic care needs. It was also concerning that medication staff (LPN) seemed unavailable at times, and there were noticeable delays in response. Hearing other patients calling out for help without timely assistance was heartbreaking. This experience was very upsetting for our family. I strongly urge the facility to improve staff attentiveness, professionalism, and patient care standards. Our loved ones deserve dignity, respect, and proper care at all times. I am very disappointed with the level of care provided at this nursing home. From administration to housekeeping, there appears to be a lack of concern for the patients’ well-being.

I was at Rose Manor for two months. For the most part, The certified nurse assistants (CNAs) would hang around the nurses station and talk, laugh, and gossip. Often they would be so involved with talking they would miss the call light. I had to sit in a soiled adult diaper sometimes for over an hour. When someone did come in they were generally professional and did their job. I do want to note that I had a couple of excellent CNAs that never behaved unprofessionally That said, I was frequently scolded for a minor deviation I apparently committed. I just felt like they considered caring for me an inconvenience as if they were doing me a favor. The usual response I’d get would be, “You’re going to have to wait.” I know everyone has a huge workload but I still think the attitude among the staff could have been better.

Review for Rose Manor Rehabilitation Center – Durham, NC My experience with Rose Manor regarding my mother’s care has been very disappointing. The facility has not provided bed sheets on her bed, which is both uncomfortable and unsanitary. In addition, her wound care has not been handled properly — the wound nurse has not been coming through daily as required, even though her dressing needs to be changed once a day. These are basic standards of care that every patient deserves, especially in a rehabilitation setting. I hope management takes these issues seriously and addresses them immediately to ensure all residents receive the proper attention, hygiene, and medical care they need. — Jarrel Wilson
