I am being denied the proper supplies by Accent Care, who are supposed to supply them along with visiting nurses. Because of the frequent lapse in supplies I am having to buy my own supplies. I am on a fixed income and and this is is something I cannot afford, especially when they’re already being paid for the supplies.. Because of this neglect and the lapse of supplies any progress made in healing my pressure sores is often compromised. I have taken pictures every day to show the ebb and flow between healing and repeated breakdown of my skin. I get cases of supplies I never asked for, nor need. My nurses tell me this happens to everyone- every single nurse I come in contact with offers this, a seeming condolence, “I know, this happens to everyone.” I have to call every time this happens; often. Calling anymore is just a futile gesture, meanwhile, I continue to suffer from the physical pain as the mental suffering that eats away at me while I languish, watching as my quality of life slips through the proverbial cracks.
