The ALS clinic at University of Utah referred Don to A-PLUS Hospice. They took care of us and I couldn’t have done it without their caring assistance. Shyann and Pedro are the best CNA’s, making sure Don had all the care and equipment he needed. Katrina RN made sure Don never ran out of medications; Dr. Holland sat down with us, very personable. Chaplain Kelly offered great support, and the SW Liz made sure we had revocation form on our vacation in case we needed it. Chaplain Cristi and SW Annette showed their support at Don’s service even after they were let go. Latisha SW after care provided me with important information and guidance to make sure Don’s identity would be protected. My husband was taken too soon. Thank you for all of your assistance!

When our family needed hospice care for our mom, we didn't hesitate to call A Plus. They had cared for our dad a couple of years earlier and the experience was one we never forgot. This time was no different. Nurse Desiree cared for both of our parents, and there are no words adequate to describe what that continuity meant to our family. She brought not just skill and professionalism, but genuine warmth and compassion. Even though our mom was only on hospice for two and a half days, Desiree and the A Plus team made sure she was comfortable and dignified, and that we felt supported every step of the way.

A Plus Hospice had provided care for my mother for 6 months and everyone was amazing. Everyone that was there for my mother were kind, compassionate, caring and an absolute pleasure to work with. Sheila my mothers aid went above and beyond everyday to ensure my mother was comfortable. Annette always kept me informed and always made me feel cared for and Kelsey was amazing, she is genuinely one of the kindest and best nurses I have worked with. Thank you for taking such good care of my mother, I could not have had a better team.

I have a complex medical history and have spent years in and out of hospitals. I’ve had thousands of nurses care for me throughout my life. I do not say this lightly: Monica is one of the absolute best nurses I have ever had. She came to my home after what has truly been the worst week of my life — surgery, hospitalization, profound grief, physical depletion, and days that felt traumatizing and tear-soaked. I was severely dehydrated and emotionally exhausted. My veins are extremely difficult due to repeated hospitalizations, and it took many attempts to successfully place an IV. Despite the difficulty, Monica never showed frustration. She remained calm, patient, and incredibly skilled through every attempt. Even when my Doberman accidentally bumped the freshly placed IV out after she had worked so hard to get it in, she responded with grace and kindness. Not once did she make me feel like a burden. What deeply impressed me was her meticulous sterile technique. I am immunocompromised, and she was exceptionally careful. If she touched her phone, she removed her gloves immediately, sanitized her hands thoroughly, and put on a fresh pair before continuing. Every step was deliberate and precise. I have never experienced a nurse so rigorously committed to sterile procedure. It reflected her professionalism, her discipline, and her genuine dedication to patient safety. Watching her work made me feel completely at ease — safe, protected, and truly cared for. But beyond her clinical excellence, what made this experience unforgettable was her heart. This week has been filled with tears and trauma. I have barely smiled. Monica walked into my home and somehow, gently, naturally, made me laugh. She brought warmth, light conversation, and a sense of calm into a space that had felt heavy and dark. We shared stories, laughed together, and she treated me not just as a patient, but as a friend. She was wonderful with my dog and even shared photos of her own rescue pup, which brought another moment of joy. I felt cared for. I felt seen. I felt safe. I felt loved. It genuinely felt as though she was sent at exactly the right moment — a reminder that better days are coming and that I will survive this. She delivered far more than hydration. She brought comfort, laughter, kindness, and hope into one of the most devastating weeks of my life. Monica is a rare combination of exceptional skill and extraordinary compassion. She is a gift to her patients, and I will never forget the light she brought into my home when I needed it most.
