Working with A Place At Home has been an incredibly reassuring experience for both my mother and me. From the very first conversation, Yemi showed remarkable patience as I walked through my 92-year-old mother’s clinical presentation, along with her interests, daily needs, and our family history. I felt genuinely heard, understood, and never rushed. Yemi took great care in matching us with the right Support Coordinator, and her choice of Efe was spot on. Efe has been a wonderful fit. She's compassionate, attentive, and deeply respectful. The connection has made a meaningful difference in my mother’s comfort and well-being, and it’s brought me real peace of mind and a reprieve. We are so grateful for the support services they provide for individuals living with dementia and for the families who care for them. Their approach is thoughtful, personalized, and truly supportive. When I needed help caring for a great friend of mine, I reached out to a number of these businesses. Yemi (co-owner) came out to meet me at Maryland Masonic Homes to speak with me the same day, because I was leaving for a business trip soon and wasn’t going to be there for him. I could immediately tell he would be in great hands under her care. We spoke in depth about the needs of my friend, she had a nurse come evaluate him the following day, then we began with scheduling his care giver. My biggest concern was my friend’s cognitive abilities coming back with the limited exposure he had to communicating. He had 2 mini strokes. That first week the change in him was profound, only getting better and better with time. I needed to get back to work after spending so much time in the hospital with him for a month, so we decided to continue this care. He and I speak everyday, he is so thankful we found this company. The young lady who has been caring for him is the sweetest, most caring person you can find. Yemi and this young lady have gone above and beyond to make sure my brother is being taken care of, with much love. Something that’s not easy to find here in Baltimore. This has been a wonderful experience that I was scared of at first, but am so thankful for now. My friend is back to being himself again! If you have a loved one who needs care, I highly recommend this company. They treat you like loving family!

For the last 2 months, A Place At Home, has provided caregiving services for my parents in their home. I have been very happy with the services provided. The staff have been professional, kind, and hardworking. They have prepared meals, ensured that my parents took their medication, and engaged with them socially. Overall, they have been very adept at handling my parents in their varying stages of dementia. A Place At Home was able to put together a team of 4 to stay with my parents around the clock when I was out of town. When a couple of the caregivers were not a good fit with my parents, A Place At Home was quick to find suitable replacements. Bottom line, I have been very impressed with their services.

We recently had an assessment done by A Place at Home – Towson for my father-in-law. Although we ultimately decided on an assisted living facility based on his personal preference, I want to take a moment to commend the team for their outstanding professionalism and genuine care throughout the entire process. From the very first interaction, the staff was courteous, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to understand our family’s needs, answer all of our questions thoroughly, and treat my father-in-law with the utmost respect and compassion. It was clear they are deeply committed to the well-being of those they serve. Even though we didn’t move forward with their services, I would highly recommend A Place at Home – Towson to anyone exploring in-home care options.
