About A Helping Hand In Home Care

A Helping Hand In Home Care is a home health and hospice provider based in Boise, Idaho. The company serves clients requiring in-home care support across both short-term and end-of-life services.

Family experiences vary considerably. Some clients report strong, consistent relationships with caregivers and describe staff as compassionate and detail-oriented, with good communication about scheduling changes. However, other families have encountered serious problems: inconsistent caregiver assignments (one family experienced five different caregivers in a month), missed appointments without timely rescheduling, billing discrepancies, and, most concerning, a report of a caregiver arriving to work impaired and with an arrest record, raising questions about hiring practices and supervision.

The community holds a 3.5 out of 5 Google rating based on 13 reviews. Prospective clients should carefully weigh the positive experiences of long-term clients against the documented service failures and staffing concerns raised by others.

I love A Helping Hand. I've had excellent service and caring caregivers. I'm notified of any changes in scheduling and any issues right away. I've had very caring detail orientated caregivers. I've been with them about a year. I would recommend them anytime.

Helping Hands sent this person who got arrested DURING HER SHIFT who has been drinking and sleeping on the job… to care for an elderly woman who is bed ridden. How often has this been happening? Do you even do background checks on your care givers? PROCEED WITH CAUTION when hiring this company. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I Contacted Helping Hands for a deep clean and weekly service. They were scheduled and never showed. I contacted them and they said they overbooked. They did not attempt to reschedule until the next day. Ghosted, lacking professionalism, accountability, and customer service.

Not recommended! They were great at first then provided less than adequate services. 5 different care givers in one month for my mom who had memory care issues. Cancelled services March 2, just received a bill for Dec., Jan, and Feb. accounting leaves a lot to be desired as I have cancelled checks for all those months.
