From the very first interaction, their team was compassionate, professional, and incredibly supportive. They took the time to understand my mother’s needs, her preferences, and our family’s concerns, making the entire process feel seamless and reassuring. Every caregiver who came into our home treated my mother with dignity, patience, and genuine kindness. They didn’t just provide care—they built a relationship with her. Their communication with our family was excellent, and we always felt informed and confident that she was in capable hands. It’s never easy trusting someone to care for a loved one, but A Helping Hand Home Care exceeded every expectation. I am truly grateful for the comfort, safety, and peace of mind they brought to our family during a challenging time. There are so many great things that can be said about this company. The quality of care they give to clients is above and beyond just a job. You can tell the caregivers care and love what they do. They give families reassurance that their loved one is being taking care of by the best. From the owners, to the office staff, down to the individual providing the care, you can see they all work together to ensure the client and family receive nothing but compassion and top-notch care.

I have been using Helping Hands now for a few months. I absolutely love them. They help me take care of my mom. I feel like they are apart of my family now. The first time I called A Helping Hand Home Care in Lawrence was to have them help my dad with meals and medication reminders for the few months he had to wait for a memory care assisted living apartment to open up. The relief I felt knowing they were there to help, was enormous, and they did a wonderful job every single day I employed them. Over a year later I called on A Helping Hand again because even though the assisted living facility and staff were first class, my father needed someone to be with him for all of his waking hours. The difference in my father’s daily existence was almost immediately improved with the arrival of the caregiving team of A Helping Hand. They not only kept him safe and helped him with anything he needed, they also engaged him in many ways and made the last couple of months so much easier for him, and also for his family. I am ever grateful to A Helping Hand and all of the caregiving staff, for the excellent service and attention to my and my dad’s needs.

I have had the opportunity to spend time with the owners, supervisors and their employees. My mother has dementia and now resides in a full time care facility. Knowing that this company would be there when we needed with loving care was the most important thing to our family. They shared to call them if we needed anything and we will help you. What I liked most about their company is their care oversight. I met several supervisors and knowing they provide supervisory visits to their clients is what means peace of mind for their clients. I highly recommend them.
