I am a former employee of 1st care of nm. This company is run poorly and carelessly. If you worked hours but your clock in did not get recorded they still owe you compensation for those hours you worked. Contact the Labor dept if you have not been paid accordingly.

I worked for 1st Care New Mexico n they don't care about there employees or clients .. I reported a caregiver that was stealing and going in whenever she wanted n still clocking in this client was in a wheelchair. She had a brain disorder that made her forget things I reported it and no one cared this client would tell 1st care she would like a different caregiver n keep sending the same one that was stealing from her stealing her food to feed her roommate. This client is living in a housing facility with barely any money . Karen was very unprofessional she was rude to the clients and to the employees Karen got reported by clients and employees and no one did anything. I have more than one bad experience with Karen. I don't recommend first care for clients or employees they are very unprofessional and don't know how to treat people they don't do house visits they don't know if you're at the client's house when you clock in. I seen clients clock in and not go in at all they do not tell you what you need to know about the client so I go in n have to learn there health issues on ur own. I have clients that were on drugs and started drinking at 9:00 in the morning once I got in report n they still send caregivers.

One of the worst company I have ever worked for period. There are so many things wrong with this agency, as I don't even know where to begin. Just be warned as there are plenty of other agency that operate on a much higher degree of standards in comparison, as this agency lacks morals, diginity, understanding, knowledge and comprehension.

I’m lost of words. From the very beginning Jazmine was exceptional. She was kind professional and answered all the doubts and questions I had. Although I felt like a nuisance Jazmine assured me I wasn’t. Jazmine was very passionate in helping me and my Grandpa. They even helped with home visits. Jazmine definitely deserves a raise and all around applause for the customer experience she’s provided.

We loved the caregiver, but her skills were lacking. The training that 1st Care of New Mexico provides is minimal- a 5 minute read monthly and they call it training. Nothing hands on or useful to the client. I was told the client has to do the training; however, my mom has dementia! I wonder how caregivers learn how to shower, transfer, and even have the skills for good nutrition without someone giving them hands on instruction. Their offices are nice and they have a multitude of departments that do not communicate to each other, so one has to repeat the same information multiple times in order for one to be understood. I feel this organization is top heavy with the emphasis not being the client. I am only giving it a 3 because my caregiver was lovely and most people I had the chance to meet were lovely, but the system needs better organization.
