“I’ve been living at Moldaw for over 7 years and have found it to be a welcoming, supportive, and friendly community. There are more activities than I can take advantage of. It’s a great place to live! And I love being on the campus of the JCC, which offers even more activities.”
“Clearly one of the best retirement communities in the area, our mother lives there and loves it. Naturally this comes at a high price but she's certainly earned it and with what we put her through as children im happy that there is a place nearby she is willing to stay in that allows me in to see her when I can.”
“I was invited here for a luncheon. The staff was very spirited and incredibly helpful. There are many activities to keep the Seniors participating and engaged.”

About these figures
Computed on October 16, 2026 from the 8 communities listed in Palo Alto, 449 public family reviews on Google, Yelp and MyLivingChoice, state licensing records and, for nursing homes, CMS Care Compare. The best-rated list ranks communities by average family rating weighted by how many families have reviewed each one, so a 4.9 from three reviews does not outrank a 4.7 from two hundred. No community pays to appear in the best-rated list or in these figures; sponsored and partner listings in the directory results are marked as such. Figures refresh as listings and reviews change.
