Director Kathy Eubanks is a blessing to her residents and staff. She truly cares for “her people” and goes the extra mile to insure her residents are happy and receiving good care. Friendly staff and an owner who is involved and accessible.

We moved our mother into this facility after few options were left for her care. After her admission, it became apparent that they lacked the skilled care, and manpower to properly care for her. The staff were unresponsive and her hygiene went downhill. The place was never clean and her clothes seldom washed. There was an event where housekeeping washed the residents clothes in a cleaning solution not intended for clothes washing. Our mother developed a debilitating rash which never cleared up and she continued to decline. We moved her to another facility where she passed a few months later with a severe infection from her rash. If you love your parent, stay away from this facility.

Sadly a lady just lost her life due to this facility's neglect as she froze to death outside during the pensacola snowstorm. This facility is well known for missing residents who escape. And I have first hand seen employees scrambling to find the resident up and down Olive Rd. In my opinion it seems like an inside employee could be to blame. Sadly a lady had to loose her life. I hope this investigated thoroughly and carefully.

I moved my wife to Windermere from another memory care facility. The Windermere staff and medical care is excellent. They provide personal care that feels like family. I'm glad I made the move to Windermere.

I'm in the early stages with Windermere, but had to come and sing their praises right out of the gate. Once we've had a chance to fully experience the whole thing, l will update. Just from the preliminary intake tour, however, I am stunned and delighted to literal tears.

As the kind of person that researches everything to absolute death. When I tell you I have NEVER heard personal stories from medical professionals or other patients and families like this? Seriously. Confirmed everything I was able find online with weeks of combing every inch of the internet for info on staff, facility, accommodations, experiences, history and practices.

I have to admit to tears over this place. When I first drove up, my heart just sank into my shoes. It's too nice. There is NO WAY we'll be able to afford that. There's been a mistake. I should just go home. WRONG! The incredible Tyrah pretty much took me by the hand at that point and laid every last fear to rest.

I observed the way residents and staff related throughout my tour. It's an unusually clean, bright, meticulously well thought out, maze of interconnected specialized spaces designed just for those with memory impairment. The level of detail and cutting edge innovation was impressive, from the fact that there are almost no corners in the whole place, to the calm, yet cheerful color scheme that makes the whole thing look more like a city apartment complex than a "facility." You can't even see that they're fenced in most of the outdoor spaces!

I also saw, with my own eyes, how they handle wandering, confusion, agitation, speech issues, incontinence, even a minor disagreement. I cannot say enough about the tactics used and the innovative approaches I saw. If you have any experience with this at all, you KNOW how difficult it is to remain calm and patient when your loved one is having a hard time, let alone figure out how to reach them when they are upset.

My biggest fear materialized when I first placed my mother. The people in that place did NOT understand her. She did not fit into their little check boxes. There just wasn't enough staff or enough training to keep up with her. She's still too active, too curious, too interested in everything around her. So. I was called up there every single day to help. And mom began to decline quickly - bored, miserable, frustrated and confused. That's when they started pressuring me to allow very strong atypical antipsychotic drugs. Mom's worst nightmare was coming true.

I will NEVER fear that again at Windermere. THEY GET IT!

I love that they do the whole Christian Based care thing too.(Optional, but available.) That's SUPER important to mom and will be very convenient since she won't have to travel to an unfamiliar place for service on Sunday, or even bible studies and worship. (Daily! YAY!)

I tend to distrust entities that advertise their Christianity. Sometimes, unfortunately, it's a marketing tool and not an indication of heart. NOT the case here. They're practicing what they're preaching as near as I can tell.

And BOY have I learned a thing or two about red flags! Believe! All green at Windermere so far! I am grateful and hope to have my mother there, safe and sound, very soon.

TLDR: These folks put the CARE in Memory Care. Call them.
