Upon arrival at Wilkins, I couldn't walk nor stand. I started therapy and Ms. Gloria encouraged me saying "don't worry, we're going to get you up and walking again." Gloria and the team started me out on the parallel bars. Then from there, we went to the walker with assistance. Despite a set back of pneumonia and returning back to OU Medical, and the doctor having to reenter my back to drain fluid, Wilkins once again got me back on track. Although we were starting all over again, by the grace of God, it only made me stronger and more determined the second time around. ALL of the staff were so sweet, kind, respectful, and my wife and I will never forget them. My wife was right by my side the entire time, day and night and she felt the same love I felt from the staff. Wilkins is like family now to the both of us!!!

It's never easy to place a loved one in long term care. Honestly, I never knew it was going to be as difficult as it was. My mom was Alz/Dem and therefore needed extra care. When the time came that we were no longer able to care for her at home, we needed a facility that could provide love, compassion, and meet her daily physical needs. Because of the nature of my job, I was familiar with Wilkins and had occasionally been in and out of the facility for years. I will be completely transparent here... As an outsider looking in, i was not thrilled about placing her here, simply because it had that nursing home feel (and I had seen literally hundreds of them, because of my job). Yet, we had to place her here due to many factors. That was a difficult day for me. I cannot tell you how wrong i was about Wilkins. The love and compassion she received in her time there went way beyond the norm than in the other facilities I had been in over the years (as stated, I've seen good, bad, and very ugly). I couldn't be more thankful for the way the staff loved my mom, and she loved them. Three of the closest staff members even came to her memorial service. It was yet another lesson in never judging a book by its cover. Because believe me, I've seen other facilities that look much nicer on the outside, even on the inside, but once the daily care starts, the true nature of those places takes a very, very dark turn. That is NOT Wilkins Nursing and Rehab. Our experience with Wilkins remains very fond memories of the way my mom was loved each and every one of her final days on this earth. Thank you Wilkins... thank you so much, for providing for her, for loving her, and laughing with her and crying with her when we couldn't. We certainly won't forget. In my mom's own words, "This is a really nice place, they are so good to me here." I think that says it all.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care my grandmother received here at Wilkins. From the moment she arrived, the staff welcomed her with open arms, and their kindness truly made a difference in her experience. The physical therapy exceeded our expectations, and we are forever thankful for the progress she made! The facility is not only clean and comfortable but also feels like a warm and loving community. Every single day, I witness the dedication and compassion of the caregivers, who treated my grandmother and others like family. Their attentiveness to her needs went beyond excellent medical care; they provide emotional support that made her feel cherished and valued. Wilkins also offers a wonderful array of activities that kept her engaged and happy, allowing her to enjoy her time. Knowing she was in such good hands brought immense peace of mind to our family. I wholeheartedly recommend Wilkins to anyone seeking a nurturing environment for their loved ones. This has also been my favorite job experience, forever grateful. Thank you to the entire team for your unwavering support and for creating a home filled with love and compassion! ❤️

My two aunts are residents at Wilkins. I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention the staff provides them. The facility is clean. The staff are friendly and responsive to requests. The activities and celebrations throughout the year keep my aunts engaged. I'm grateful to have this high quality service available in our community.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had an absolutely wonderful experience with Wilkins Health & Rehabilitation Community. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. The facility is impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and feels more like a home than a care facility. The nursing staff went above and beyond to make sure our loved one was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. They were attentive to every need and always kept us updated, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. The activities offered were engaging and tailored to residents’ interests, keeping everyone active and connected. The leadership team was also incredibly supportive and responsive. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were addressed promptly and with compassion. It’s clear that the entire team is dedicated to creating the best possible environment for their residents. We are so grateful to have found Wilkins Health & Rehabilitation Community and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and professional place for their loved ones.
