It was a very hard decision to put our mother in a group home, however when we found White Dove our family knew we made the right decision. All meals are home cooked , facility always clean, good caregivers, and even the desserts were made by Alaina. She took very good care of our mom "Mary" .

My Mother resided at White Dove Adult Care Home for 2 1/5 years. Initially she was mobile with the aid of a walker. As time went by she transitioned into a wheelchair then became 100% bed bound until she recently passed. The caregivers were very compassionate, attentive and diligent in regards to her every need. She was always bathed, dressed and her bedding clean as well as her room and the rest of the home. Meals were always freshly made each day. I have video's of caregivers singing, (wheelchair) dancing and entertaining the residents. Everyone looked forward to the gentleman/entertainer that came regularly to play the guitar and sing songs the residents were familiar with and soon they were clapping and singing along. Nellie, the owner was always reachable. When I called, she responded right away. We were referred to White Dove Care Home and we have absolutely no reservations in referring them.

I cannot say enough positive things about White Dove Assisted Living. My mother was a resident there for nearly seven years and just recently passed away. During that time she received excellent and compassionate care from everyone in the home. It was always clean and the food was homemade and yummy. The owner, Nellie, and the caregiver Alina, were remarkable with their solid commitment to taking care and nurturing everyone in the home, including the family members of the residents. My mother’s last days weren’t easy but the love shown by the caregivers to both my mother and I made that time very special and unforgettable.

One of my family members came here, and at first it was tolerable. However, the more my mother and I visited, the more I saw the cruel reality of it. Nellie was a person working with my family member, and she was one of the rudest and most impatient workers there. They didn't treat my family members with patience and love like they promised they would. Horrible service. They also treated my mother badly by yelling at her, calling her trouble and that she caused problems when all she did was visit my family member. They also yelled at my sister to leave the facility. No patience and no real love to the patients, please do not come here so that you don't go through the same thing we did.

My mother was a resident at White Dove's Silver Crest Home in Peoria. Words cannot express the heartfelt appreciation and gratitude I have for Nellie the manger of the home and Viki, one of the caregivers. Nellie is amazing...she treats her residents (and her caregivers as well) with warmest regard and respect. She is an outstanding professional demonstrating a remarkable kindness and compassion for others. She consistently goes above and beyond for her residents. Viki is very special as well. She is remarkably perceptive and attentive to even the smallest need a resident may have. Mom always felt safe, loved and well cared for at Silver Crest. This meant so much to me. Everyone at the home treated my mother with much dignity, love, care and kindness. A dear friend had referred us to White Dove and we're so grateful she did.
