I was there for 18 months and it was horrifying what I witnessed. I should of never been there The worst and HIIPPA violations I have ever seen . This place needs to be shut down. I have pix galore that tell all

My dad was taken there about 25 years ago. He had Parkinsons. Told the staff they had to feed him because he was unable to feed himself. With the shaking his eating utensil would be empty. He was malnourished per our doctor visit. When i went to complain the staff told me that they just watch him eat. They did not feed him. . When I went to see him he had a bleeding sore that he complained like chiggers. I noticed that another patient had the same sores. I called the health department to report this. 3 TIMES. Turned out he had SCABIES , HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS . From there he was admitted to the hospital with malnurishment, pneumonia, and scabies. There was a sign above the bed to warn everyone to glove up when giving treatment to my dad. I wish I never took him there. I chose this place because it was a new facility, seemed clean. They didn't check on him to see if he was even okay. They stole a watch that my dad wanted to wear. Needless to say I was highly disappointed in his care. Now I live with the poor care he received. He died of pneumonia in the hospital. I kick myself every day.

My mother was mistreated and she died there. These employees are evil. It goes all the way up to head management. My mother had open wounds that were bleeding and no one told me anything. I discovered them when I saw her with her shirt off. No one did anything to help. When the bleeding started, she also had extreme itching and nausea. I don't understand how something so bad can happen in an a nursing home. They didn't care for her properly. They also changed their name to Sundace. I tried contacting the company and i couldn't find anything online to reach them. No phone numbers or names of new owners. The Sundance management wouldn't give me any names or numbers to contact upper management or the new owners. Don't take your loved one here. The whole staff covers up for each other. I pray that their mistreatment of their patients comes to light.

The care was horrendous at this place. I was having to empty my own commode with a broken leg. My Service Dog came to stay with me the activities coordinator through a fit. The food is absolutely atrocious. Please don’t ever take anyone you love to this place.

My mother lived here for almost 6 years and I liked most of the staff. I don't understand why, but their are some people drawn to skilled nursing homes that thrive on abusing residents. My mother was on dialysis and in alot of pain in her last year and a half and she had a very contentious relationship with 1 RN in particular, that would not give pain medicine when it was due. She would prolong giving meds based on whether she liked you or not. I had several meetings with administrators there over the years about verbal and psychological abuse of my mother. It seemed to help temporarily, but eventually went back to the same. My mother died there in 2014, and as I went to see her body and get her things from her room, many valuables were missing (clothing, jewelry, perfumes and many sentimental keepsakes gone) Rather than fight the battle in my grief, I just let it go. It's taken me many years to get around to writing this but I finally have. My advice to anyone who is considering a skilled nursing facility or currently has a family member living in one is to keep diligent and be a watchful advocate for your loved one. There are good people that work in most facilities, but there are also evil abusive predators there, that enjoy making life hell for residents. People living there deserve dignity, respect and most of all love.
