The woman at the desk where you apply for commodities is so RUDE!! Took my step-mom, who is 84 yrs. old, to renew hers and that person was not nice AT ALL!! If you can't treat people with respect and you treat them like they're taking up your time you need to just stay home😡😡.

Rude or Detached Staff , Untrained Staff, Too many volunteers that cannot be bothered to care (like the staff is at a paid job), Poor ability to reach any higher ups on Staff , and overcrowding of people visiting the location form the basis of my star rating and this review. Last time I was at this location was in February of 2019 , where I reviewed and took Pictures. I have visited and participated in different events multiple times over the years (30+). I am retired, and not a Senior Citizen. While it had its failings, it does have many favorable interests. It is ocated on N7th Street in the heart of West Monroe. ***Some Pros/Services Offered: Location is Clean and Well maintained exterior grounds , interior floor plan and Decor. Thru offer a Parish Wide Bus Service, running every week day You buy a monthly pass or pay a rate (usually $1.00) each direction on your trip, this rate is reduced by half if you are: Senior Citizen, Indigent, Wheelchair Bound or Other Disability. They work with the federal government for funding and Support of this bus service ( funding being from the Department of Transportation - D.O.T.). This Bus Service, will take you to and from work, to and from doctor visits, to and from grocery shopping, and other Trips like these. They have computers and other technology for use by visitors, along with teachers and training classes. They offer Food Bank Items for the Indigent every month. Usually they give you 1 frozen meat (Large, containing chicken, ground beef, or similar items), A bag of canned goods, and Another Large item (like Bagged Idaho Potatoes) , for the once monthly assistance. Within a short walk is the West Monroe Farmers Market, on an adjoining Property. Located across the street is the West Monroe Alternative School. A block away is West Monroe High School, Home of the Rebels. I Hope this review is helpful for you, with it being just, fair, and accurate. -Paul Lemoine
