My mom has been here 2 weeks and the staff is great! The food is fabulous and she said she feels like she’s at a resort! She aspirated meds the first few days and they were so attentive with the nurse and other staff. She went to the ER and was fine, but her care was seamless. It’s an older building, but it has a wonderful terrace! It has a great reputation with the medical community.

Atherton Place started as a caring place. We were told when we moved our mom they had graduated care. Don’t believe it! They only have Independent, Assisted (only give meds) and locked down Memory. Higher level staff is burned out and doesn’t understand the population they are working with. They will try and force the families to pay for outside care because they are short staffed. Don’t waste your energy going here! Find a place that understands elder care. A member of the staff took our mom to Memory Wing without consulting us and it traumatized our mom. The nursing staff thinks they are medical doctors. Elder care is hard enough on family to have a place you are paying $5000 month ask you to pay for more help for them.
