When I found out that my knee replacement surgery had been scheduled sooner than I expected, I was at a loss as to how I was going to care for my disabled husband while I was recovering at our daughter’s house. Kudos to Daniel, our VA, social worker, who somehow got two weeks of respite care approved for us 4 days before my surgery. The same day, I found out respite had been approved, April called. She introduced herself as a co-owner of Visiting Angels, the healthcare team sent by the VA that would be helping with my husband while I was recovering from surgery. I was amazed at the detail of her phone interview concerning my husbands health and the services he might need. For the first time since I received my surgery date, I felt my husband would be ok while I was recovering. I was also impressed April arrived with the caregivers who would be here for Don while I was gone… Just to make sure things started on the right track and for any last minute instructions or questions. From everything my husband said, the ladies WERE angels. From preparing meals to his personal hygiene and light house keeping, they had to be sent from God, because I didn’t hear a single complaint about them. I am also positive that by the time they left, their ears were ringing from all the conversations with my husband. He is a talker and with fresh ears he probably didn’t stop!!! I’m surprised they got anything else accomplished. So yes, definitely I would recommend Visiting Angels to anyone who is looking for help with in home health care.

An exceptional team of professionals, very caring - equally important, they go out of their way to schedule visits and provide solutions to assist family members. Visiting Angels is organized, efficient and compassionate. Each interaction has been positive and their “customer first” mentality is evident. Having used caregivers in multiple states, this is by far our best experience. Our caregiver is amazing. She is caring and comforting while ensuring to show complete respect to the customer. We could not be happier with our experience.
