I’m extremely disappointed with Visiting Angels. I’ve personally caught them lying to my loved ones about multiple things, especially regarding last-minute shift cancellations. They don’t keep clients properly informed and seem more focused on covering themselves so they don’t look bad rather than being honest and transparent. I’ve also spoken to several friends who have had similar experiences, so this doesn’t seem like a one-time issue. The office staff can be rude, and it honestly feels like they hold grudges against clients or families who call too often with concerns. I tried multiple times to update my mother’s information on file, and after speaking directly with a young woman in the scheduling department, the changes were never even added. That level of disorganization is unacceptable when you’re dealing with people’s care. The quality of caregivers has also been extremely inconsistent. Some caregivers we’ve had in the past couldn’t properly follow directions, didn’t wash dishes correctly, spent most of their time on their phones, and did the bare minimum. It feels like they hire whoever they can find without proper screening or training. They also enforce a lot of unnecessary rules that make no sense considering families are paying a lot of money for these services. Overall, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing.

Visiting Angels has been an outstanding partner in caring for my mother. Their team has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and genuine compassion. Knowing that my mom is in capable and caring hands has provided tremendous peace of mind. The caregivers have been dependable, attentive, patient, resilient and kind. And their office team has been incredibly responsive and easy to work with, which also adds for creating peace of mind. Visiting Angels approaches caregiving as a true partnership, and that commitment shows in every interaction. I am deeply grateful for the role they have played in supporting my mother and our family. I would confidently recommend Visiting Angels to anyone seeking high quality, compassionate in home care. Thank you Visiting Angels!

I am giving Visiting Angels in Eugene, OR 5 stars. Laura the intake employee was our first contact. Laura was thoughtful and a delight to meet and we felt she listened to all our questions and really made us comfortable in bringing in an “Angel” for our 95 year Mom. It was great to have a service that employs a lot of potential care givers. The first Angel wasn’t an exact fit (nice and conscientious), but we ended up with Sadie who was extremely nice and a perfect fit! I loved the easy communication, easy cancellation process if you need to not have service for various reasons on one of your assigned day, and overall high quality service. Our Mom is now going to assisted living due to more care needed, but for anyone considering in home visits, this is amazing and I highly recommend Eugene’s Visiting Angels.
