I’m extremely disappointed with Visiting Angels. I’ve personally caught them lying to my loved ones about multiple things, especially regarding last-minute shift cancellations. They don’t keep clients properly informed and seem more focused on covering themselves so they don’t look bad rather than being honest and transparent. I’ve also spoken to several friends who have had similar experiences, so this doesn’t seem like a one-time issue. The office staff can be rude, and it honestly feels like they hold grudges against clients or families who call too often with concerns. I tried multiple times to update my mother’s information on file, and after speaking directly with a young woman in the scheduling department, the changes were never even added. That level of disorganization is unacceptable when you’re dealing with people’s care. The quality of caregivers has also been extremely inconsistent. Some caregivers we’ve had in the past couldn’t properly follow directions, didn’t wash dishes correctly, spent most of their time on their phones, and did the bare minimum. It feels like they hire whoever they can find without proper screening or training. They also enforce a lot of unnecessary rules that make no sense considering families are paying a lot of money for these services. Overall, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
