I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the care and management standards at Visalia Post accute During my parent’s initial stay, I observed an excessively loud environment and frequent incidents of theft. Due to a lack of assistance from your staff in addressing these issues, I found it necessary to contact state authorities to request a formal investigation. Currently, my parent is in the memory care unit, where he is being denied access to a phone. Despite my repeated requests over several weeks to arrange a video or phone call, my inquiries have been ignored. I have also attempted to contact the Director directly to discuss these matters, but I have yet to receive a response. If you care about your loved ones rethink admitting them here

My loved one has been at Visalia post acute for quite some time now. Since before COVID. The staff for the most part is kind. However if you are as unfortunate as I was to meet Andrea their so called “Assistant Director of Nurses” then I extend my sympathy. She is the personification of unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. I can’t believe this is the person in charge of nursing. If she can get away with hanging up on patients family mid sentence, shouting, and losing her temper, I can’t imagine what the rest of the staff is doing behind closed doors. Shame on you administration, I have talked to other families of patients and it seems I’m not the only one with this problem. I refuse to EVER speak to her on the phone, and I know others have banned her from caring for their family members. Thank god she is not front line for patients, I can’t imagine the horror. I feel bad for the staff that have to deal with her on the days she’s there. Luckily she’s on call, I think they purposely give her days off so the staff and family members can breathe. If it weren’t for the actual caring ADON I would’ve pulled my family member out of there so fast. Talk about polar opposites. I am seething writing this. I’ve seen Andrea yell at staff ! What’s the point of Human Resources if there’s no humanity. As someone in management she never would've gotten that position, let alone kept a job longer than you could say hostile work environment.

I have linked my social work clients there, and now have my mom there. I love Visalia Post Acute’s Service! They are friendly, and attentitive to their clients. They have group therapy, and holiday events! Its a home away from home❤️

I admit, when I first looked at Visalia Post Acute, I was skeptical. There were not many high reviews for it, and I was a bit apprehensive. I needed a place that could take both my parents, as they both had been in different hospitals. My dad was accepted first and then my mom, when they found out they were getting both my parents, DeeDee, the head of admissions called me to let me know that they would be happy to hold a bed for mom. I made a huge request and asked if they could put them in the same room, as they had not seen each other in a month, and she did it!! My dad arrived first and then my mom, for the first night they were in separate rooms, the staff (Emily and I don't know who else) went in and got both my parents looking their best so that when they first saw each other, they would look great! That is going above and beyond!! Every time I went to visit my folks, the nurses would tell me how much they loved my folks and how cute they thought they were. I knew from that that my folks were getting wonderful care! My mom had been in another facility earlier in the year, one that did have a lot of high ratings, and it was awful! My mom has dementia, one of the nurses yelled at her and argued with her, we found out because my moms roommate told me when I went to visit. It took several phone calls to get to the bottom of that. We had only one issue at Post Acute, that was getting my dad meals with no pork in them. :0) I highly recommend them. They are very great a what they do!

We recently had our grandmother stay at Visalia Post-Acute and had a great experience. Starting with the admissions process. They were organized and efficient to assist with every need at the time of discharge from a local hospital. Staff made sure to check in periodically and was always available to help facilitate further communication between the facility and family. The therapy team was phenomenal! They each took the time to listen to our loved one and gave her the gentle push to accomplish her therapy to get back home. If we ever need care for a loved one it will be at Visalia Post-Acute.
