The Villa holds a special place in my heart. My Great Aunt lived here after she could no longer live independently. We visited her several times a year for the span of almost ten years when I was growing up (we lived about five hours away). I loved visiting the Villa. The location is in a beautiful spot overlooking hills and valleys and it is surrounded by small farming communities. The staff and the residents were always so friendly and nice to us. We were always welcome to share a meal in the big downstairs cafeteria and sometimes we would stay in the guest wing. Let me tell you, they keep those rooms spic and span -- this whole place is clean! The grounds of the property are neatly kept with beautiful gardens and plants, mowed lawns, and a pretty rock/gem, hand-built shrine, or "grotto" in the front lawn. In 2012, I visited for the first time since my Great Aunt passed, which was in 2006, and I was so nostalgic being there. So many great memories!
