The worst experience ever had in my life. They will systematically dehumanize anyone who is a patient there the staff is not to be trusted.

If you're into over medication and the possibility of your loved one never getting out and then Trempealeau is the place for your loved one. They will try to keep your loved one there as long as possible. They will do whatever it takes to convince the courts tthat long-term or lifetime commitment is necessary. After almost 2 years in Trempealeau my fiance was about ready to be released because her commitment would have been finished, so they recommended the courts put her on a guardianship without saying anything to my fiance or me so that the guardian can make decisions and keep her in there longer and now I can't even find out how she's doing or what they're giving her for meds because that has to be approved by the guardian even though she wants to sign a consent form for release of information for me again. This place is a joke in the middle of nowhere without visitation I have not seen a fiance in 2 years . There is something not quite right about the staff and doctors in Trempealeau . This place is in the middle of nowhere with horses and buggies driving down the roads and it seems like they want to keep you there forever
