The staff is nice. It's a closed building with no patio for the residents. The only way they can get out is if they have visitors or if they go to the hospital. You can't go inside and see were the residents sleep. You get a half hour scheduled visitation.

Patients get best care when there is an inspection going on or the Board comes. Lots of food deliveries come, but residents never see most of the "good stuff", especially the meat deliveries (except hot dogs)! Personal items of residents go missing a lot. Do I need to say more!!!

I want to update my review. If I can give them negative stars I would! Over the course of six months this place has gotten worse . I went to pick up loved one just like any other Sunday and we were sitting outside with family. And TWO OF THE PATIENTS WALKED OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR WITHOUT ANY NURSE NOTICING! I went in there as more of the patients were trying to get out and I shouted “two of your patients just walked out” and they just kept staring, gossiping with each other . Until they finally realized and caught up to the patients and put them back inside . I already filed a bunch of complaints but nothing seems to change. Trying my best to find a better location for my LO. Don’t care much for patients hygiene. I went to pick up my loved one for the day and noticed they had not been changed or bathed since the day before. Has happened many times btw. But Nurses are friendly (most of them anyway)

This place is Bedlam. A real living nightmare. Don't ever take your loved ones to this chicken coop they are trying to pass as a Convalescent Home. B E W A R E ! ! !

I have been a long term patient and resident of Torrance Care Center West , my personal experiance after been in and out several hospitals and nursing homes due to my disabilities. From my wheel chair in my room with 2 roomates my 22 old Grandaughter is helping to write this review, The food and activities are very good, The hallway and rooms are neat and the best in cleaness. The facility is over 40 Years old, need some repairs and update, They are working on it, The best feature is the Staff, from the custodian to the Director, Excellence quality compassionte care according to the level off disabilties.
