About TheKey — Formerly Craig Cares

TheKey, formerly Craig Cares, provides personalized home care services in Roseville, California and the Greater Sacramento region. The company offers flexible care options ranging from a few hours of companionship to comprehensive 24/7 support, including hourly, live-in, and around-the-clock care delivered in clients' homes.

TheKey's approach centers on what it calls the Balanced Care Method, a proprietary framework addressing the whole person through six evidence-based pillars: cognitive stimulation, nutritious meals, physical movement, social connection, meaningful activities, and restful sleep. The company also offers specialized memory care for those with cognitive decline and comfort-focused care for advanced illness.

The caregiving team combines local familiarity with communities throughout Roseville and Greater Sacramento with the training and standards of a national organization with more than 25 years of home care experience. Clients work with personally matched caregivers supported by a Caregiver Manager and Client Success Manager, both available 24/7 to coordinate care and ensure continuity of support.

The company's process begins with a conversation to explore options, followed by an in-home assessment where care managers meet clients in their own space to understand routines, preferences, and goals before creating a personalized care plan.

We recently met with The Key for home care services and were very impressed with their overall professionalism. Their representative, Tiffany Phillips, arrived on time, conducted herself with politeness and respect, and took the time to answer our questions thoroughly. Although we ultimately chose to move forward with another agency that was a better fit for our specific needs, our experience with The Key was entirely positive. Their team demonstrated a high level of care and professionalism throughout the process.

The Key made setting up companion care for my mother easy and personal. Kymberly from The Key conducted a thoughtful intake interview and matched her with a caregiver who has been an excellent fit. The regular visits and help getting out for errands and activities have made a real difference in my mother's quality of life. Highly recommend for families looking for trustworthy and supportive companion care.

This review is long overdue. We needed immediate, reliable help, and The Key saved our family. They set up care quickly, and our caregivers were professional and genuinely compassionate. Our mom was able to stay in her home until the end. Our care liaison Carly was responsive to all of our needs and the supporting staff was great as well. I have told friends to give them a call if the need arises because they will not disappoint!

Craig cares has cared for both of my parents for years. Their caregiver Vera is phenomenal and always goes above and beyond. The office staff is very responsive and our care manager Carly is always available to answer my questions and was a huge help with initiating their Long Term Care insurance. My family is so grateful we found Craig Cares.

In seeking home care for our 81 year old mom for a couple of weeks after a long hospital visit & rehab, we were referred to Craig Cares by more than one persons/organizations. My first call to them was with James who instantly made me feel they were the company we wanted and they were willing to get us care within 2 days. Tiffany, the case manager, is both very professional and also very caring and personal. She came the first day with the first caregiver to make sure we were all set. Their policies are generous and they are incredibly flexible and willing to pivot when needed. Our goal was to get my mom to independence. We had 2 very different caregivers and both were wonderful. My mom got to independence earlier than expected and we cut a few days off our original plan. I FULLY recommend this wonderful company!
