I have a loved one that has been at Waterview Shores for over two years. I never dreamed that we would find a facility as wonderful as Waterview Shores. The staff in every area are fantastic. Kitchen, housekeeping, laundry, administration, social services, haircutting salon, billing, activities department , Therapy department, both occupational therapy and physical therapy& countless nurses aids, Not to mention the traveling staff who come and help when needed. This facility pays close attention to the traveling staff that they are willing to hire. It will not accept just anybody. It takes great care when it’s selects who will come to temporarily help with Waterview Shores residents. Even the volunteer music performers, and the ministers who come and hold church services every week. My loved one has been treated with nothing but caring & respect. The facility could use a facelift. (that is for certain. Which has been brought to the attention of the owner ) So that the facility can look as wonderful as the staff who work there. Never have I found a more caring facility. It is Clean, and offers great activities. My loved one had a difficult time at first having to leave home and go into long-term rehab. But has now adjusted very well, knows the staff by name and every single person no matter their title treats him so well. We are so blessed to have found Waterview Shores, in Two Harbors, Minnesota

Beautiful facility with homelike environment. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and helpful. My family member resided in the assisted living then was moved to the skilled nursing facility that is connected when she needed more care as her dementia progressed. She enjoyed living there. The staff were good with managing her care.

My parents were from Grand Marais when my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. We were told that there was no hospice available in Grand Marais. We were very lucky and found you. My mother was unable to be alone and wanted to be near dad. Dad was admitted into your facility into hospice care and mom got an apartment at assisted living. The care my dad received was so fantastic above and beyond our hopes. Mom was able to be with him and shown so much love and compassion. After, her care at the senior living faci, ity was fantastic. I was so impressed with the activities department, the employees care and love that was shown to my mother. At her end, she was in the hospice care for only l2 days! and once again was treated with such care as she passed. This all transpired in less than a year. I can not say enough about the positive experience my parents and their family recieved at this facility. I also love the way this facility is an important part of the community. Thank you and God bless you all?
