Only 1 star, and that would only be for the nurses and techs who actually care and have compassion and as far as others, susan, carl, wanda. Not one of you reached out to ask me after my mom had to go to the ER how she was. I even told susan, my mom was going to hospice when I had to come back to get her belongings. No compassion, no caring, no, i'm sorry!! Even carl saw me, and he said nothing!! I get it, she was just another number for you. Next. If I knew how bad and the condition of this place and how badly my mom was treated and not cared for. She had a UTI and pneumonia. Very bad bedsore that even at the hospital they could not help!! She lost 4lbs in 3wks there at waters. Yes she was very underweight and malnourished before. She wasn't thriving, she couldnt walk and if she had to go to bathroom she was using a wheelchair as a walker!! Real safe!! She wasn't feeling well and nobody seemed to care or do anything about it to help her!! I asked several times to have her labs done and urinalyisis. Then day before she went to ER, Dr. Vollmer had ordered it a little late!! Hospital already had results before he did!!! First meeting him when my mother was unresponsive at waters in her room, he touches her chest and says, she's severely dehydrated, that we ought to think about hospice. WOW, something you say to somebody when you first meet them right? Where is the compassion. I don't care if he's had 25 yrs in the medical field. He basically thought she was hopless.
I kept saying for weeks something is not right with her mind and I thought was rapid onset of dementia. No, it was because having a really bad UTI and Pneumonia. I wouldn't even want my dog in this facilty. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the decision based on what I know now. Only what I was told in June and she had to go to skilled nursing. So she was brought there. Pictures do no justice, and neither does the trying to win somebody over the phone and trying to be kind over a phone. No directory of staff or direct number. No direction on who to talk to and I had to keep asking for information!! No one calls you except 1 nurse Kaitlin who told me that my mom was having labs done she wasn't her nurse that day but she knew I was concerned about my mom and wanted me to know. Heard some nurse was giving my mom medicine with peanut butter. What is she a dog.!! Not to mention one of the "newer" nurse, leaving her medicine sitting there in her room. My sister finding one of her pills on the floor. Trying to get information and talk to a nurse. When half the time, being put on hold even 20 mintues or the phone would ring and ring. Very unprofessional!! My mother suffered there 3wks!!! This is not a place to help people get better. It's a place for people to die!!.
The lack of compassion and caring, these are human lives. They are someone's mothers, fathers. Loved ones. She was my mother!!! My first impression walking in is they leave these people in these wheelchairs, in the hallways because they don't care. The smell of urine. Not to mention, you don't even have computers that work. Literally a cna told me that the computer doesn't work at the desk. The nurses don't even have phones on them or carts with laptops on them. They have to share. This place I found very unprofessional. Not to mention, you walk in, nobody asks you who you are, where you're going. They just care about making that money. Not helping to improve lives.

Heart-broken!!
