They need to make it more cheerful and home looking and have more staff that can speak clear English and don't rotate staff from upstairs to downstairs keep same staff in the same areas answer the phone when family members try to call

Phone system sucks. I live out of state and can't ever get ahold of my loved one. Loved one says food sucks and gets the same thing over and over again. Foods such as hotdogs and foods that are questionably healthy in the first place and the least expensive foods. Do not recommend!

5 years ago my aunt seemed happy at South Shore. Sadly, this place is going downhill. When my cousin asked for assistance recently during a bad night for my aunt, the 'pool' RN on night shift rudely said something like "This is what happens during death. Haven't you been around death before?" My aunt had been on hospice for only a few days. After multiple professionals putting us off with 'there's no way to know' that bit of so-called honesty was brutal, unnecessary, and that nurse should have respected family's wishes and stayed OUT of our aunt's room

We have ministered at South Shore since 2005. We have always enjoyed the opportunity to present the Gospel to the wonderful residents and staff. The Care Center is dated however and could use a serious remodel. The Staff are very friendly and helpful and highly professional. They have excelled under very intense circumstances ever since Covid-19 hit in early 2020. Kudos to the Staff for their efforts. God bless you all.

My father in-law was sent to south shore care center for rehabilitation after a stay in the hospital. From the moment we arrived he was the focus of the staff's attention. Very responsive and thorough. Very comforting and relieved for our family. He's in great hands!
