My mother, Mary Lou Hall, is currently at The Palms for rehab. She can not say enough good things which makes my heart happy. Someone as independent as she is, was not thrilled that she needed to go to rehab, however she is smiling every time I go there. She has thoroughly enjoyed activities (I never would’ve dreamed, but she hasn’t missed any of it) and raves about what a wonderful experience it is when she attends. The therapy department has been amazing and she truly loves Fred. She says that everyone has been so nice and accommodating to her, especially her CNA, Brittany and nurse, Lisa. Tonight she called to tell me that she couldn’t eat dinner (nothing to do with the food, she just cannot eat certain things). She said Erin took her tray and brought back mashed potatoes and gravy which is something my mom can enjoy. Now she truly didn’t have to after my mom told her she really didn’t want anything (mom doesn’t eat much and lives off of snacks), but she took the time to get something my mom loves. That’s the kind of place you wanna send your loved ones. Thank you to everyone at The Palms at Florence for being so wonderful to my mother. You have made this so much easier on all of us.
