They are very short staff half the cnas sleep on noc shift and most of the nurses don’t care I feel bad for the redsidents there

My dad was at Legacy and we were not happy at all, he has dementia and they did not have people there that were trained in dementia, my dad wondered outside and couldn’t get back in because he has dementia and could not remember the code, this was 1 in the morning, we were mad thank god he was ok, now he is safe with my sister, they need to be 100% better, dad will never go back there

My husband was at. Legacy for several days. He said the nurses were nice but did not receive the therapy needed . They were always short of staff . And no one around during weekend. Patient is not adviced of the daily scedule.between Legacy snd Elkhorn in Casper there is no comparison. My husband was left unattended by a therapist nam of Page on an exercise machine .the therapist left him unattended snd the machine pulled on him so hard. And was unable to turn the machine off. He now has a hernia that will Need surgery to repair it. He has seen the surgeon.<br>It unfortunate jhe went yo get well and left with a hernia near the groin area that pops out snd he has to push back in.he did mention it to the nurse which Saud she was not touching that and nothing was done .he should have been taken to the hospital immediately. But of course there are no doctors around. ELKHORN HAS 2 DOCTORS THAT CHECK IN EVERY MORNING AND CHECK IEACH PATIENT TO SEE HOW THEY ARE AND IF THERE IS SOME THING THEY NEED. MORE MYhusband is now waiting for a surgery that should not have happened. He is 86<br>Years old. His pain medication was not regulated until the staff was vomplanted he was in pain but no nurse was around to check if he was in pain or not and is meds needed to be administered. .Legacy building is absolutely gorgeous but dont let that fool you. Go to a highly qualified facility. Personally we do not we commend Legacy. There are alot of changes that need to be made in that facility. Whomever is managing the place either has nor experience or vision for the well being and comfort of the patient. I had to call Legacy a couple of times to have done one go check on my husband. Due to no resonse.
