I have lived here for about two years and have had funds and items stolen by staff and caregivers of other residents. We are on our 3rd management team and they are not willing to acknowledge my concerns and past issues and I have had to report to Adult Protective Services. This has adversely affected my physical and mental health. There have been two fires, cockroaches and bedbugs during this time. Pest Control spraying has killed my small dog as well. I am seeking some Senior Legal Assistance as well. I would not recommend this facility for your Senior.

My father lived here for about a year before he passed and really enjoyed the staff and community. Since his passing, the new director Lindsay has been wonderful and very helpful tying up loose ends, making our lives easier as we navigate this hard time. Thank you Lindsay and team for everything.

The Landing is an independent apartment complex for seniors.<br><br>My dad has lived at The Landing in Carmichael now for a few years. He really likes it there and says that the people running the apartment complex are very attentive to him. He likes the fact that when he asks to talk to the executive director she makes time to talk to him and the fact that he can go down and get his food and bring it up to his room or he can eat in the dining room.<br><br>The executive director makes a point of knowing everyone's name who lives there and greeting them as they come to food or activities etc.<br><br>They have some kind of different social activity every single day and try to incorporate the people who live there to gather and spend time together.<br><br>My dad does pay the additional cost for his meals to be provided and if he isn't a fan of what is being served for that meal, he will be served something different. The meals are simple and not fancy. He appreciates that too.<br><br>They have a courtyard area that is enclosed in the complex with a gazebo to spend time outdoors. While my dad has never been a guy who enjoys the outdoors, I'm glad he has the option.<br><br>It is a gated complex and the gates are closed in the evenings.<br><br>They have a reception area and ask that visitors sign in and out.

We moved our 90-year-old mother into The Landing at Carmichael over 3 weeks ago. My Mother and family were immediately impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness and well taken care of facility. She had been in another independent living facility that was one level and it took a bit for my mother to navigate as this is two stories and larger. However, the staff (this includes EVERYONE, the Executive Director Aileen,<br>Rea in reception, Juan in maintenance, housekeeping and culinary staff, Lily the chef personally introduced herself to us, I wish I could remember all of the names to give a shout out) have been wonderful, and were always friendly, courteous and helpful and assisted in her learning curve, she has now mastered the route she needs. She loves her unit and the view of the courtyard. The lunch and dinner meals have a lot of variety and use fresh ingredients. My mother is a modified vegetarian, and the culinary staff has worked to make sure she is comfortable with her choices. We shared a couple of minor challenges in her room and the maintenance staff immediately assisted in suggestions resolving them. She is still new and has not taken part in the MANY offered activities but is looking forward to trying them. I also want to mention the other residents have been welcoming as well, which I feel says a lot about the friendly environment the staff strives successfully to ensure.

My daughter chose the the landing as a surprise with<br>a prearranged visit, and I'm glad she did! I've. been here two years and love it. The staff is joyful and efficient. The facility is super clean and modern. The chef and food staff are creative and make the best soups ever! (my favorite).I feel safe here and the other residents are kind and help to create the best community. There is plenty to do - if you want daily fun and activities. The Landing at Carmichael is my "home' in the best sense of the word, and Jonesie and Raiden, my two cats, are happy here too!<br>Rachel Mournian
