This place is awesome. They do so many things with the folks who live there. The holidays are always a treat. The residents seem to really love Halloween because the way it is built, it is like an actual neighborhood and hundreds of people come to their place to Trick or Treat! It is wonderful.

I've been able to visit The Green House Cottages of Homewood on a few occasions. As someone who has grown up in this region of the state, I can tell you that this facility is top-tier. From design and layout of the cottages, to the care, love, and dedication they have for the residents - there's no comparison to any other long-term care facility. Upon visiting I've run into old friends, educators, and other people in the surrounding communities. There is a feeling of home here whether you're a resident or visitor. I would feel very confident in placing my loved one here.

When The Green House Cottages opened. The staff, the food, housekeeping, and answers to your questions was a 5 rating in my opinion. Now the staff is so understaffed it's crazy even the cook helps with patients to the potty etc. The food is always cold when it arrives. The room floors, not kept, swept or mopped. The toilet is sometimes soiled and dried poop under the seat. The biggest complaint is UNDERSTAFFEF CNAS. Don't get me wrong I have only had 1 CNA is snappy like their having a bad day every day, but the rest are jewels, the cook is cooking for 2 buildings where they used to have a cook for both buildings. I cannot schedule a time where I can talk to the Dr. That is over the cottages, because they don't know what day they'll be there or what time they'll be there. Tell the nurses what my concerns are, and to trust that my concerns will be conveyed to the doctor and I can get a answer, but nothing really happens. The managers and or the CEOS of the cottages should take notice and care about their facilities that the families entrust their love ones. For the upmost care to be given to them. Again I stress the staff are really good.

Room is filthy because of no housekeeping. Patient sits by herself and has food all over her because she had a stroke and couldn’t feed herself. Management is making money and should be fixing this problem.
