This place is a joke!! I only experienced 'The Gardens" it's the short term care wing. Rooms are hot, public restroom door CAN'T be locked. I was in there and door just got opened right up. No knock, no words, no nothing. Was washing my hands and door just opened right up. There is a code on the door to enter (CODE IS WROTE RIGHT THERE ON THE DOOR PLATE). It was the first and only time I used it. They did not offer no welcome paperwork, with helpful numbers or info. It was just fly by seat of your pants. Staff does not like answering call lights, or answering questions. Staff may or may not have name tags on, so it's hard for anyone to be held accountable. Cause then your trying to guess or describe " the staff" who said or did whatever. Several staff were short and always gave the feeling that you were bothering them. There is no interaction or encouragement from staff to residents you're just placed in your spot and on your own. CNA's that are confused of their position thinking they have some power. Talk with nothing but attitude! In time of need and it being Friday after 5pm, good luck! No numbers on hand, no Risk Manager on duty. Or that takes and answers after hour calls. Finally on Saturday got the number for "Dave". Who wasn't available to come on grounds to see and hear what was going on. So he sends nursing staff from another unit that has no idea who or what im dealing with at the time. She tried to hear me out, and she talked the talk but dropped "THE BALL". VERY DISAPPOINTING! She gave me her number and encouraged me to use it if needed. Following day, being Sunday, things are still not going well. I used the number i was provided by " Bethany" the nurse who come on site to ease my mind and hear me out on how care for this patient was going. Then on Sunday texts were sent and explained to Bethany on care and issues for that day. With no response. Finally had to call AMR to have patient transported to local hospital for a well check. Patient was admitted in to the hospital. I never heard back from any of the staff who promised me "the moon" that this was NOT the care they base their name on. Now being over a week ago, patient was admitted and discharge from hospital and now admitted to a different short term care facility. All of this and that, no one has made any attempt to contact myself or patient. All in all there were two staff that tried to help in any and all ways possible. Special thanks to Maria and Cole. They are younger staff members, but this job seems to be more then a "pay check". They truly seemed to care and wanted to help in this patient care and comfort. I do NOT understand how some people sleep at night.... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

My sister was moved in for skilled nursing and PT. And OT. I was kind of skeptical after reading a couple of bad reviews. But, those who posted in the negative comments must have been a long time ago or isolated instances. I have found the most caring and kind and happy staff there. I have dealt with so many staff either on the phone or in person and I almost feel like they are part of my family, now. The place is very clean and I just could not be happier with the care my sister is receiving. My sis even comments all the time how nice everyone is. Wonderful place! Janis, sister to Linda

My Mom had been in the rehab part of the Gardens 3 different times. The first time she had been in hospital and just needed to get her strength back. OT/PT are amazing! Very good group and my Mom loved them. They worked wonders. The actual facility is a PIT! Staff was average but not great. Staffed with travelers much of the time. Her room had a worn hole in the carpet. The bed controls were raveled. Faucets were covered in corrosion. Windows had built in shades that could no longer be opened or raised. No Sun shine at all. One day her dirty bed sheets layed on the floor for 2 days in a pile. They just walked by it. PT finally bagged it when I mentioned it. Food was TERRIBLE! One night she was nauseous so they brought her hot dog and pork and beans, REALLY? I had to post a note to staff so they would get her call light reachable.
