My cousin was there recently. She said they were rough with her and rude so she self discharged -AMA. She was released with matted hair, flakey dry skin, and long dirty fingernails and toenails. They called the police for a “welfare check” then told everyone who called her personal medical information. Literally trying to force her back.her family will do a better job than that. I recommend everyone avoid this place. See pictures below.

This campus provides both Assisted Living and Nursing Home services and I've been impressed with the staff and administration there. Responsive to concerns and always willing to discuss ways to improve. Making improvements to the facility and always clean!

Beautiful facility with a nice courtyard. The administrator, Jenna, is so wonderful with my mom. She really took the time to get to know her. We would recommend the Emeralds of Grand Rapids!

My older cousin is currently a resident. Short term, rehabilitating for her hip. She has been left without her call light (safety) and therefore left without a way to call for bathroom assistance. She was left to sit in her own waste for nearly 2 hours! That is negligence! Also compromised skin integrity and infection control. She has been told by staff they don't have time to help her and she ends up having to wet/soil herself. Are the nurses and administrators on the floor helping answer lights and offer assistance if the aides are stretched so thin that they can't assist someone to the restroom?I have worked in facilities where the director was working the floor along side us. Whats your facilities excuse? Straight abuse and negligence.

I really wish I had a photo to attach. This place is filthy at best! It absolutely wreaks of urine and appears that cleaning and mopping the floors is not a thing ever. There is 1 aide that is amazing but obviously he can’t work 24/7. My family member pushed the call button for help as they had wet the bed. A 1/2 hour later my husband went in search of someone as no help came. Finding said help took just about as long. Over an hour later they get him cleaned up? This is totally unacceptable! This is how our elderly and a veteran at that are treated?! Shame on you all!
