THE COLUMNS OF BASTROP I have a family member that's been at this facility for several months. I understand this is supposed to be an "assisted living" place. He has been bed ridden for several weeks and unable to barely speak above a whisper. The last time I was there, he had declined significantly. His night stand was across the room. He asked for water which was on the night stand across the room. The container was empty. His lips were severely parched and he had soiled himself. We are currently in the process of moving him to a full time Nursing Home facility. They are not allowing this to be a smooth transition, saying we are in breech of contract. What I'm seeing here is a severe case of neglect and bullying, saying that he cannot be moved until the entire month of December is paid. Page 7 of the contract requires a 30 day written notification that the patient will be leaving. That's what we keep hearing after we told them at least 4 weeks ago, that he would be moved by the end of this year. We owe them $3500 is what they say. I can't stand it when the elderly are mistreated. I reached out to the owners Jeff and Kacey Rhodes to see if they are aware of how their staff is treating patients and family members, after I called, hoping to reach some type of agreement. I was yelled at and this staff member was talking over me. Hopefully the owners will reach out to me so we can reconcile this ASAP. I am not the type of person to publicly express my opinions, however when it is an elderly family member that's on the receiving end of neglect, you better believe I'm gonna say something. TO BE CONTINUED!!!

Our family chose Savannah Court because it was the most affordable option for senior living in the area. We were skeptical at first due to the pricing being lower than others but we were impressed when we toured. & continued being impressed with the care my grandfather received. We are extremely thankful for Savannah Court.
