Joe truly does run this facility with tender care and professional experience. After many upsets at other nursing homes, we finally found a truly peaceful place where there was love and the help and community needed for my Oma after painful surgeries and hospital stays. It was a blessing and relief to have her there in her final years.

"TenderCare" is the perfect name to describe the service Joe Bradshaw and his staff provide. Before, during and after my dad's respite stay, they have provided compassionate and professional support. I had no concerns for my dad's health or well being. Joe and his house manager, Mary, were wonderful counselors for me as I navigated all the details of insurance, medicine, and many other issues related to my dad's stay with them and his long term care. I thank God for TenderCare. They were truly an answer to prayer!

I can't say enough about TenderCare! Both our mother and father were residents of the University Hills home. My mother had suffered a stroke and as a result they moved into an apartment in an assisted living facility. They lived there for a few years but Dad was quite isolated as he didn't feel he could leave Mom alone in the apartment while he went out to do some of the activities. We were so blessed to find Joe and his TenderCare facilities. Joe offers a homelike setting in which both my parents thrived. With only 10 residents there is a sense of family. Homecooked meals taken around an actual dining room table, a great room in which not only exercise sessions and football (with snacks!) were held but recliners in which the residents could watch television and interact with one another. A yard to sit in the sun and sidewalks in a neighborhood on which to take walks. This was perfect for my Dad and Mom. The attention to the medical issues my parents faced was exemplary. We are VERY satisfied with TenderCare and I would recommend you talk to Joe if you are searching for options for you loved one.

The philosophy at Tender Care is the reason we chose this facility. Joe believes that people need interaction with other people, not isolation. At Tender Care the residents are like a family, they eat, play, exercise, sing, do crafts and actually live their lives together. They have a big living room where everyone enjoys the big screen TV together, no one is left sitting alone in their rooms. Dinner and crafts are done a family sized dining room table. Each person is welcome to be themselves and enjoy the company of others. I would more than 5 stars if that was a choice!
