I remember the day we moved my grandmother in here, Deb was VERY helpful. I thought most of the nurses were helpful. But, this place can be kind of depressing. My dad says he NEVER wants to step foot in here again because it’s where quite a few of our relatives were, which understandably brings back some NOT so nice memories.

I've been invited to meet a small group of veterans at Sunset Home. We meet in a comfortable entry area at the back of the main building. So let me start by saying I don't have relatives staying there, and have no experience with that side of the operation. However, one of the veterans showed me his apartment, and I'm impressed with what I saw: he has a small living room with a tiny kitchenette attached. There's a nice bathroom, and a fair-sized bedroom with a large storage area. He has an inside front door, and a back door which leads to a public yard area. The inside front door has a bulletin board outside for pictures, etc, and he's allowed to decorate (tastefully) the wall outside his door.

This place must be extremely understaff due to the fact that my mom has been here fot a couple yrs now and recently they put about 10 or so patients up in an area where they can keep an eye on them instead of doing their job checking on them while they are enjoying their over priced rooms, not at all recommend it for anyone, no one is happy here
