My Dad has one PCA through Southern Minnesota Home Care who is absolutely wonderful, outside of her the experience has been awful. After requesting care weeks prior to my father moving to the area, the director stated they had availability to provide that care. The care did not start until 4.5 weeks after his arrival and the communication was awful. The director bails on fulfilling the hours committed, bailing on the job, leaving family as her true back up plan with no advance notice. If family is out of town my father will lay in bed until we can find someone to get him up or staff will come in late. The records show that care was not given by the agency during the 4.5 weeks, weekend days that was not fulfilled by the staff/agency. Also in violation of the nurse visit. I’m baffled how this place is still in business.
