I came here as a dental assistant to the dental hygienist that comes in to clean the residents teeth. I’ve been to many facilities and this facility has the kindest staff and residents. They were actually working and not sitting in their butts on their phones. Thank you for all your help today!

The fact that half of these 5 star reviews are from staff themselves should be enough of a red flag. The facility is rancid, unclean, and dirty. Bathrooms permanently smell like pee. Had to wait 3 hours for clean bed sheets one time. I asked 5 different people for clean sheets for my mom. The food looks like it came straight out from the great depression or world War 2 rations. They have their agency staff working 18 hours a day, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Not sure where all the money this place is getting goes, but it is certainly not going to upgrading this place so it doesn't look like a trap house, or adequate staffing. The staff who did care are very overworked. Maybe buy some equipment that isn't from the 1980's. Some of the nurses were very kind and sweet, but I don't think it makes up for the conditions these people live in or the inhumane hours some of these people are expected to work. Mistakes increase when staff is exhausted. Also if you're going to discharge someone and say all their paperwork is in order and that they are good to go, maybe send over a med order.

My Grandfather recently completed a six-week program at South Platte Health & Rehabilitation Center and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention he received. From the moment we walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The facility is clean and well-equipped with everything needed for a comprehensive rehabilitation program. The physical therapists are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about their patients' progress. Mark took the time to understand my grandfathers specific needs and tailored a rehabilitation plan that was both challenging and achievable. I was particularly impressed with how they combined traditional therapy techniques with innovative methods to help speed up his recovery. The support staff, including the receptionists and administrative personnel, were always friendly and efficient, making scheduling and insurance processing a breeze. They even had fun activities to engage people staying there while trying to lift their spirits. They did a wheelchair car wash one day where everyone got their wheelchairs polished and washed, another day where they had a “latte” bar that what put together and ran by their very nice and friendly Administrator Britney, and other events such as karaoke (who doesn't love Karaoke?). It was very much appreciated and kept my grandpa’s spirits up! 😊😊 It truly felt like a community. Overall, I highly recommend South Platte Health & Rehabilitation Center to anyone in need of rehabilitation services. Reviews from years ago were rough, but that seems to have changed as they are really great now!
