I’d highly recommend any of the Silver Acres facilities. When I needed to place my mom quickly upon discharge from the hospital after a fall I was super overwhelmed. I toured several places & the people from silver acres were super helpful and reassuring even though I was a hot mess. In addition several hospital staff members said they weren’t allowed to recommend but if there’s any opening at any Silver Acres facility I should take it immediately, so I did. We placed my mother with dementia and had a great experience considering the sad circumstances. They let me write up a note about my mom, her food preferences and I was able to setup her room, bring things from home, etc. My mom was difficult with her dementia, kept trying to leave, etc. and they were great dealing with her and helping both os us adjust. I visited every day for several hours for a few months so I spent a lot of time hanging out alongside other residents and staff. All of the staff were attentive and even though there were a lot of personalities everyone took great care of the residents! We had our favorites, of course, but overall the vibe was good all the time. Clearly they are well managed and trained which I appreciated. The house was always clean and smelled good. My mother passed in their care and it was peaceful and their staff were wonderful. Very much recommend.
