If I could give this facility 0 stars I would. After Willow Haven closed down I was forced to find new living arrangements for a family member and unfortunately we chose Shawn Manor. At Wilow Haven my family member was thriving, he smiled still laughed, the staff adored him and he was doing well. Within a few months of being at Shawn Manor he passed away. If you have a family member there please know, Dr. Spillars the Doctor over the residents there leaves his number on a binder there at the nurses station and encourages family members to reach out with questions and concerns. We did transfer paperwork with all of his likes dislikes history ect they never bothered to look at it. When we were there to visit most of the staff was very uninviting never checked in with us or acted bothered if we needed anything for him while we were there. There are some good workers there that do care but they can only do so much with the lack of staff and number of people they have to care for. One of the aides took it upon herself to shave his beard off without asking or checking with us because "it was needed" rather than cleaning his face. My family member had not shaved his face ever and this was important to him. There was not care to get to know him and his needs or likes, we were lied to at the end of his life and told he was still eating fine despite concerning weight loss and me expressing he was having a hard time swallowing. When I expressed I suspected UTI I was treated like I was dumb by some of the staff, it took weeks before the test was done and confirmed a UTI. When he came back from an ER visit (he shouldn't have been discharged but that's a different story) I expressed my concern that he needed to be monitored closely he was hypothermic in temp heart rate in the low 30s. His vitals were checked once when he came back from the hospital, I couldn't get anyone to answer me the following morning on an update, in the afternoon I finally was able to get someone to recheck vitals and there was no change but I was told he ate and was doing better. I went to visit and check on him that evening to find him shivering in a chair with light pjs and a small blanket on, struggling to stretch it to cover himself. All of the staff was elsewhere or running around, he was mumbling he was cold when I got there. No one seemed to care. I had spoke to admins and made complaints for the last week of his care, there was no follow up from them. They made requests to the staff to do things but even after complaining to them the care was not good from some staff they didn't follow up, they didn't check in and verify that anything had changed. They lied to me and told me that the resident doctor was aware of what was going on and said I'd have to wait for him to see my family member when he was scheduled to come in a few days. They didn't know I had his phone number, I called him to find out they did not fill him in and he had no idea how bad my family member was or that I was told I had to wait to talk to him. Unfortunately it was to late. My family members last week of his life there Dec. 2025 was horrible, no compassion or dignity was given to him, our concerns were dismissed and ultimately he died shortly after. The admins threw their staff under the bus, refused to take accountability for their wrong doing in the situation, shifted blame onto a few people and just did what they needed to to try to cover their tracks. If you have to put a family member here, visit often especially if they are not high functioning, know there are ombudsmans that you can utilize to help advocate for your loved ones care, get the Dr.s number and keep in touch with him directly don't just trust what you are being told and trust your gut. I will say there are people there receiving good care especially higher functioning people that need less assistance, and again there are some fantastic aides there but unfortunately my family member needed extensive assistance and the care he needed was not accommodated.

I just got a call from Shawn Manor and, apparently, they changed their mind (after giving me the names of the residents and setting up the time for me to visit them) and they won’t let me adopt any residents or bless anybody with gifts for Christmas because I am a “stranger and it may upset them”. They have never, apparently, heard of this before, that somebody wants to “adopt a resident for Christmas” or whatever. Well, that shows you how much they really care about their residents! I have not heard good things about this nursing home anyway. No joke here!!! They would rather leave their lonely residents as they are, without friends or anybody visiting them and strip them off the opportunity to get a blessing for Christmas. That’s the kind of people that run this nursing home!

Shawn Manor is amazing. From the food to the nursing staff to the administration, everyone was so very helpful. Only place I’ve been in that they speak to you , give you daily updates and answer every question you put before them. The Physical Therapy staff went above and beyond with encouragement and daily workouts with my husband. I highly recommend them for either short term skilled nursing or for full time care . I would give them 10 stars if possible. This place is the best ever.

I broke my hip and went to Shawn Manor for rehab. The care I received was top notch. The employees were always very professional and caring. I received rehab and was able to come home in 14days. I hope I never need that type of care again but if I do I would definitely go back to Shawn Manor.

As it is never easy easy to place your loved one in a nursing home, I can assure you if you chose Shawn Manor, you would not regret it. I chose to place both my grandparents in here and was very pleased with the care they both received. Not only was I please but my family was also very impressed! The nursing home is very well put together it feels more like a home rather then your average nursing home when you walk through the front door. It also smells so good and is always very clean! The staff is kind, very respectful, and passionate when it comes to taking care of your loved ones. We will defiantly be choosing this facility again if need to.
