So my son is out there went and visited him everyday never had issues till the other day. I get there he is so drugged up that he was crying the nurse came at him and would not let him talk to me. And the staff started being rude and obnoxious to me and him. So I reported it the next day to hr what do they retaliate and just cuz I spoke my.mind and called a wack job.they retaliate by drugging him and taking away his phone time and visitation with me. He is a disabled young adult. Does not understand why he is out there. Trust me I would never put him out there. Some people had to make the decision for me. They want him to stop calling people. No med in this world will do that. Worst treatment I have ever seen I am going higher up and holding them out there accountable.just cuz I reported what I seen they think they cam retaliate is very wrong.

I was doing super good until they transferred me to a separate unit, I was sobbing for hours when they transferred me because I had grown comfortable where I was, and I knew everyone, it was already a traumatic experience and then I had to go through it again. This unit was awful. The staff didn’t care about you or your needs, and I got strapped to a board for refusing to go to bed and they injected me with something that made me pass out. I don’t remember even waking up. They put me on checks after that and I didn’t get to do anything on Easter, that was the first Easter I was away from my mom and I had to sit in my room 90% of the day. I was in this unit for about 2 months and it was some of the worst months of my life.

My crazy counselor her name was Melissa with the tip of her finger missing. She was weirdly obsessed with one of the patients there who I happened to grow close with over the time of being in different treatments together. I don’t know what Melissa said or told her or what happened to her in HSC but she killed herself. She killed herself a few years later. Employees told me the room I was staying in a prior patient had killed herself in that room. HSC takes away people will and want to live and I’ll never forgive them for what they said and did to me and my peers.

I have been to HSC 14 times. I have been placed on the worst unit, and released because I could handle the patients better than the staff. I have been tied to a board for days. I handed my $1000 diamond earrings to a staff member and never saw them again. I have seen employees who were obviously under the influence of drugs. I believe the staff needs to be educated much better.

I was forced to wear a pot holder dress, tied to a board, put in a cement Room for several hours until I urinated on myself... the staff is uneducated and uncaring. Patients are treated like an inconvenience. I have been to this hospital 9 times. I have never improved. I have seen horrible injustices performed by people we are supposed to trust and get help from. And this.. Before she died, Anne Elizabeth White asked staff to be transferred to an emergency room to treat her withdrawal but her request went ignored by staff at the Human Services Center, according to a 2018 report from federal officials released following an Argus Leader investigation. White was 37 when she died. She had 6 children. They gave her to her kids $25,0000. Yeah. That's gonna walk them down the isle...
