I visited my mother this past Friday, and they had the most beautiful Easter celebration. It brings me so much joy to see her live somewhere that treats its residents with such care. There were so many fun activities for her to participate in. I’m glad that she is in amazing hands. Thank you for all your hard work Santa Anita assisted living.

Since there are no resident reviews on here I will post one. All of the reviews are family, staff or visitors. This facility has some major problems such as staff not following the state code regarding hair nets, food handling, elder abuse, etc. People are treated like paychecks not individuals. They advertise a therapy room/therapy services and there are none on site. Residents have to have Dr orders for home health visits for PT, and speech therapy. The food is almost always the same each week and the chef doesn't know what diabetic or heart diets are! He refuses to look up new menus. When you suggest a food that ppl may like he makes the resident provide the recipe or he won't make it. The chef and most kitchen help are dismissive, rude and unwilling to help. Maintenance try to fix things but most of the time are unqualified to perform repairs. So things never are fixed. I fixed certain things in my room myself bc I have a small tool kit. They say they offer transportation to anywhere within 15 miles but that is a lie. It is only Dr appts unless they have outside activities planned. Only 6 ppl can fit in the van so it limits who can go. Administrator and financial aid person aren't qualified and make many mistakes. Their Supervisors even admit this. When we report things that we observe to be incorrect or against state code they still refuse to do anything - like cross contamination, rudeness, inappropriate comments, abuse, theft, etc. If someone wants to change rooms they won't let them. Plus total care residents are put in rooms with independent residents. Total care residents should be with other total care residents so the independent residents are not inconvenienced at night, etc. If you stand up for other residents who need help administration and employees treat you badly and retaliate. There are very nice residents here but that doesn't make up for what the employees do or say. They also lie to get you to come to the facility. Once you are here they couldn't care less about you. The med techs give ppl the wrong medications, r rude, dismissive, uneducated, and have actually given meds that residents are allergic to. I have personal experience with Erica giving me 2 pills that would have killed me dt being extremely allergic to them. They also run out of medications for days bc thy don't order them until the last one is given. Policy is when down to the last 5 pills but they don't follow this. There are a some very nice employees here such as Winson, the dishwasher, Nina, Fernanda,Emma, Abraham, Vera, Urinal, Miguel, Alex, and Natalie. The rest view us as paychecks without feelings.

We had such a positive experience with Santa Anita Assisted Living. The entire staff was warm, patient, and committed to making sure we felt comfortable and cared for. Jackie, stood out in the best way. She consistently went above and beyond. Checking in offering support and making sure everything ran smoothly. She never made us feel rushed or like our questions were an inconvenience. Her kindness and attention to detail made a stressful time much easier. Overall, we felt our loved one was in good hands, and that peace of mind is priceless. I’d absolutely recommend this assisted living home to anyone looking for compassionate dependable care.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this assisted living home and especially about Jackie. From the moment we walked in, the entire team made us feel welcomed and supported, but Jackie truly went above and beyond in every possible way. She was patient, kind, and incredibly attentive—not just to the needs of my loved one, but to our whole family. Jackie took the time to explain everything clearly, checked in constantly, and treated us with genuine compassion. It’s rare to find someone who cares so deeply and consistently shows it in their actions. The facility itself is clean, warm, and beautifully maintained, but it’s people like Jackie who make it feel like home. Her dedication and professionalism gave us so much peace of mind, and we are truly grateful for the exceptional care she provided. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with dignity, respect, and real human kindness, this is it. And if you’re lucky enough to have Jackie involved in their care, you’re in the very best hands.
