I recently was a patient at Rosewood. I can truly say it was so wonderful. The food was great. The staff were so loving and caring. I would recommend anyone who needs rehab to come there. It was an awesome experience for me.

After 10 days, they still do not have a left side bed hand hold on his bed. The bed does not roll after released which could injure staff trying to get behind the bed. They said showers every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday, but none were offered today. They don’t have adequate equipment to allow patients dignity when transferring from bed to wheelchair & back again. They use a hoyer rather than allowing the patient to assist to stand using a Free Spirit Sit-to-Stand Transfer Lift. The cost range is $300 to $500 each.

Every staff member I encountered was exceptionally friendly, professional, and compassionate. They took excellent care of my father and the physical and occupational therapy he received was top notch. I highly recommend them.

What can I say about Rosewood. My father was brought in, essentially bed ridden. The weekend staff here is terrible and neglectful. In addition to not taking care of my father’s needs, when trying to approach anyone for help, our family was met with rudeness, terrible behavior and words, and our requests were ignored. We were left to find whomever our father’s nurses and CNAs were, to get him the help that he needed. In addition to overall rudeness, when I asked who the Nurses name was so I can speak with Administration on Monday, this nurse, who seems to be in charge of things, refused to give me her name. I recognize that they are dealing with residents who are in varying stages of need and healing. But part of healing is being considerate and compassionate to family who are simply advocating for compassionate care and for residents to be rewarded with dignity and respect. Unfortunately, our experience has been that weekend staff simply do not care and meet advocacy with disrespect, rudeness, and ignoring family requests and questions. I DO NOT recommend anyone simply leaving family members here. Residents who cannot advocate for themselves need a family member advocate to sit and stay by their side. DO NOT leave family members alone here.

I highly recommend this facility for anyone who needs the care. The staff is wonderful and goes above and beyond in caring for our loved one. Especially nurse Debbie Palo. Every visit she is always on point. You can tell she has a lifetime of experience and loves her job. Rosewood Heights has a beautiful facility and right in the heart of central Texas.
