It's a mediocre drug treatment program if you could call it that, there's sometimes decent meals but the staff is more worried about getting you kicked out than addressing any substance issues you have. The one on one staff is decent. They don't help much though in terms of housing alot of people leave more homeless than they arrived. The program director is spiteful young and on some sort of power trip would not recommend this place if you have another option go with it.

Absolutely despicable and downright negligent. I was a client here after a suicide attempt. After 2 weeks another client was removed and tested for COVID-19. I posted on Facebook that someone at the facility I was at (without naming the facility) was tested for COVID-19. And that there was concern the whole facility could have it. His results still haven't come back yet will be at least another day. But because of that Facebook status they kicked me out on the streets during an active potential COVID-19 contamination within their facility. Now I am a public health hazard and have nowhere to go and have to go to public places just to use the restroom risking passing it along to anyone there. It is absolutely negligent and downright inhumane to kick someone to the streets who may have COVID-19 during a global pandemic over a Facebook post that doesnt even name their facility. They are endangering myself and the general public on a knee jerk reaction. UPDATE: Its years later and they still suck and have yet to apologize. Stay away if possible. If not possible then arrange for an advocate on the outside. I did shut down their phone lines for days though until the judge ordered me to stop. FAFO!

This is a decent facility that includes professional amenities. Has a good kitchen. At least three meals a day available, activities including a gym, disc golf course, basketball court and a WALK course. Other activities include a TV room, computer lab, therpy sessions and consumers. Staff is promt with dealing with issuess. Overall this place is a safe zone while some clients cant meet the grade. I recommend this place

It is what you make it. Is it a true counseling and AODA facility? Kind of. The groups run by RVCP staff facilitators pretty much consist of packets that you'll find at any state facility. Yes, they have a few caseworkers and support staff that are helpful but your biggest lesson here will be self-reliance. It's up to you to do what you need to do and move on. Your state or fed case manager will provide support at a minimum but don't expect anything more than a 10 minute check in once a week. The only exception is if and when you mess up. Drugs can and are available in the facility due to residents being able to come and go for employment. This was addressed with staff but when I was told, "well, it happens at every facility" I took it as a cop out because the substance use was so rampant that it would be a surprise to me if a resident WASN'T hit up for dope to trade for cigarettes, cash, or anything else. This is not the place to go if you honestly want to learn about recovery and be around people who actually want to be sober and aren't required to be there. As far as transitioning to the outside, I watched several people leave effectively homeless which is completely unacceptable. My case worker didn't even bother to check which county I lived in. Again, figure this stuff out on your own. The support staff does the best they can with what they have but be aware of the fact that there is little to no communication between the support staff and the caseworkers so there's a good chance that when you ask a question, they will have no idea what you are talking about. Again, this falls more on the case workers and management. The support staff is overworked and seem to rotate in and out frequently. Although senior management did address some of my concerns, the rest of the management staff seems to be more concerned with putting heads in beds which was especially evident during a COVID outbreak and when residents were taken to jail for violating rules such as drug use and dealing drugs and then brought right back several days later. The excuse there from management was to blame it on the DOC for sending them back which again put residents at risk. GET TO KNOW THE COMPASS STAFF. They are a separate part of your recovery and have actual AODA training and most have real-life experience with addiction and criminal behavior. Make the most of your groups with them and your 1 on 1 sessions and treatment planning. Most wish they could do more to help residents but have their hands tied by RVCP and the Department of Corrections. This may seem like an incredibly negative review but I have never been more disappointed in my life than I was with this facility. They advertised dual diagnosis and mental health care but that seems to be an illusion. It's a transitional facility as an alternative to jail or prision and a place to cool your heels and build up some sober time at best.

I've been through many different treatment facilities and this place ranks superior. Staff treats you like a human being, the food is amazing, the facility is run well and the case managers/councilors are knowledgeable and caring. You can have your cell phone right away. You can smoke whenever you are not in class. They provide 2 TV rooms, a gym with free weights, vending machines, pool table, ping pong, foose ball, and an on site corner store with everything from snacks, hygiene, cigarettes all the way to pizza. Fresh salad bar with every meal. Stay up until 11 pm on weekdays and 1 am on weekends. Basketball court outside by the smoking area. The only negatives are that they have 4 person rooms with conjoined bathrooms every two rooms. So up to 8 guys sharing a restroom. The other negative is- it's is a little worn down. Great recovery and a great program!
