This is going to be a lot of writing but please read if you're thinking of sending a loved one there. My father was here for two weeks, and they seemed like the longest two weeks ever. It was the worst service ever; I feel bad for whoever is still staying here. If you have family here, please check on them often. My father spent a week in the hospital for a life-saving surgery. After leaving the hospital, he was sent to Rio Hondo Subacute to finish recovering. We did not get any options to choose from, so we got stuck with this place. My first impression was nice because the place looked clean on the outside, but boy, was I wrong. The inside was dirty with very bad smells, and I saw people asking for help while staff were sitting on their phones. I wish I would've checked the reviews before even allowing my father to be sent here. I don't even know where to begin. Very few of the staff members were actually nice. The rest were rude and condescending, acting like you were wasting their time. My father was supposed to get special care to fully recover from his surgery, but they did not care one bit. No specialist ever came to see him. When I went to complain to the "supervisor," Manuelito, he had me standing there for a good five minutes until he acknowledged me. After he finally put down what he was doing, I began to complain about the service, and he simply said that "it is not a hospital here." That told me everything I needed to know about how they run things. My father had been waiting for three days for a pillow, so I ended up going to the store myself to bring him one. I also asked Manuelito if my father's blood sugar had been checked since he is diabetic, and he struggled to give me an answer. My father had been there for almost three days, and no one had even bothered to check his blood sugar. They didn't even know he was diabetic or what kind of food to give him, even though the hospital passed along all of his medical information. After experiencing this, I visited him every single day until he was discharged. The funny thing is that the service suddenly started getting better when they saw us there daily. I hope this place gets it together soon. I even overheard nurses outside talking about other nurses leaving due to how bad the management is.

If I could give 0 stars I would. A simple call turned into a debate with Receptionist Erica. She is incompetent and is extremely unprofessional. If that's how a call is handled, I would not trust any patient being treated with care at this place. No wonder she is only a receptionist!

My grandfather was there for one week and almost killed him by not. Giving him his insulin and when I asked when was the last time it was given they couldn't tell me he was rushed to the hospital via 911 call from them with no info in his conditions to the paramedics showed up to the hospital with no info his sugar was 800+ and fell into a diabetic coma and now that I'm asking the facility questions they preyed they don't know what happened they don't know and bounce the fault at everyone else please don't bring your family member here if you love them too much they will not take care of them.

Place smells like piss while you walking in. CNA does not respond to call lights to change family member for 30 minutes plus. After my niece passed away went to pick up items from home. Front desk had no people skill rude and harsh. I asked for form which was shared with me to pick up at front desk. They lack empathy for families who lose a loved one. To be continued based on medical report.
