I lived at Quail Lodge in Antioch for over 2 years. I met my fiancee there. We decided to ask the director if we could have our wedding there and he was thrilled. We started what was going to be our life together after the wedding. We moved into a 2 bedroom unit, planned for 7 months ordering everything for the wedding. Him and his Administration Assistant decided one day they were going to destroy the whole thing 2 weeks before the wedding, after inviting 125 guests, I received a 3 day notice and i had done nothing to deserve that. I had never been reprimanded and neither had my fiancee. They destroyed our wedding, our home and a big part of our relationship that we have managed to put back together. The director told my daughter, "Oh, there was never any real eviction in place". I was never served with court papers and the note he gave to my daughter said i was leaving because i was unhappy. The place was infested with bed bugs so bad they had to shut down the rotunda, remove all the furniture and replace it. Numerous residents apartments were infested with cock roaches including mine. Numerous others had to be removed from their apartments for weeks so they could fumigate and try and kill these bugs. The food was horrible! They even closed the kitchen because the health department found cockroaches in it. Some of our personal wedding property that we had permission to put in the lobby was stolen and destroyed. We were harassed and threatened daily. It was one of the biggest nightmares I have ever lived through. Yes, their property is pretty, thats why we wanted our wedding there. Everything was a go from the beginning, i never made a move without first discussing it with the director.

We were welcome like we were family. My Sons&Daughterinlaws surprised me and said our Princess belong in this Palace. I'm moving in a studio, 3/27/2025. I am so excited 😊

My family and I have visited numerous retirement communities in the East Bay. Quail Lodge Retirement Community is hands down the best! Their landscape is beautiful and the atmosphere is filled with warmth and comfort. The activities offer fun and lively entertainment! All of the residents we met during the tour were so happy, outgoing and very friendly. Their property trails and overall layout are private, secure and very spacious. This community has everything we want for our mom! The residents are living their best life at Quail Lodge. How do I know this? We had at least 8 different residents who shared their testimonies. That spoke volumes to us! Our mother left there saying “I definitely want to live here!” That is when we knew that Quail Lodge would be our mom’s happy home! The facility is beautifully maintained, with spacious studio and 1-bedroom units, a welcoming restaurant-style dining room, a full salon, and an expansive backyard that feels like a private park for the residents. The movie room and planned social events create a vibrant, active atmosphere that truly supports independent living. The staff, especially Nicole, were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring.
