I would like to recognize Wendy Sears, Unit Manager on the Subacute Unit, for the exceptional care, leadership, and compassion she provides every day. Wendy consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents receive high-quality care while also supporting families through every step of the rehabilitation process.

Nancy was in the Dementia area at Quabaug Rehab and Skilled Care Center for 3 weeks following a fall. While there we probably encountered a dozen staff personnel including Nurses, O/T's, P/T's and Speech Pathologists. Every one of them was friendly to Nan and I. All were knowledgeable, timely, accommodating and frequently provided tips to help me in my future care giving. Being there and supporting them with Nan that length of time was a positive education for us. Thanks to all staff members there.

Nurses refused my grandma a simple ice pack for her leg because she didn’t have an “order” for one. Like that is complete bs, I don’t care if she has an order or not. If you are considering sending a loved one there, I would rethink your decision.

My mom went into this facility from Baystate Hospital. She was at Red Stone East Longmeadow short term took a fall there. Hard time holding food down . So from Redstone, Baystate to this place. Heard good things so hopes were high. It was good until the locked unit for dementia patients. Her whole stay in dementia unit she had no TV. I offered to bring one in but nope. She started sleeping during the day where I couldn't wake her. I was also was told she was complaining she couldn't breath. They defended themselves with giving oxygen and so on. I explained more then once that was NOT her normal. She doesn't need oxygen 24/7 . They disagreed and basically explained they knew what they were doing. My mom came home for 2 days AGAINST MY WISHES. Probably good she did because she had pneumonia . Hence why she couldn't breath . Off in ambulance she went never to return home again. She passed away within so many days later.

My husband David was a patient at Quaboag Rehabilitation for over a week. He came home on May 19th 2024. We had such a positive experience that we would highly recommend this facility. The staff were all helpful, efficient and, as David began to feel better, we even had fun with them. His stay was everything we could have hoped for. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them publicly. We were treated like family and will be forever grateful.
