Located on a beautiful, 26 acre campus, Prairie Homestead Senior living has been serving residents since 1965. We are a local, faith based, not for profit senior living community. Prairie Homestead specializes in Assisted Living and Independent Living communities in Wichita, Kansas.

Independent living options allow seniors the freedom and flexibility to keep enjoying what life has to offer in surroundings that are cozy, safe, and without the burdens of lawn care, home maintenance, and maybe even cooking. In keeping with that philosophy, we offer two and three bedroom twin homes with attached garages or our newly built one and two bedroom deluxe patio homes. A warm and friendly setting awaits you!

Assisted Living
Assisted living is designed for seniors who need a little more day-to-day assistance. From quality dining to assistance with personal grooming and medication management, our assisted living community offers additional services but still offers the independence you desire. In our assisted living lifestyle, residents enjoy the comforts of a spacious 1 bedroom apartment while getting the personalized assistance they need throughout their daily routines. From planned activities to social events, residents participate in fulfilling experiences throughout the day and have 24/7 assistance at their finger tips.
Our program centers on the residents and their choices. It is individually sculptured to the resident and provides the services needed to support an aging in place community. Living well is at the top of Prairie Homestead’s priority list for each resident. Residents also can enjoy a wide range of amenities on campus including a hair salon, walking path, library, green house room, game room and beautiful chapel.
Covered basic services for assisted living include:
